What's your favourite/least favourite household chore...

..if indeed you do household chores...?...

Kate! 24-03-2014 07:25 AM

Favourite is hoovering, don't mind most jobs tbh except one. Ironing. :fist:

mizzy25 24-03-2014 07:50 AM

I actualy don't mind ironing as long as ive got music or the tv on I get it done quickly, least fave has to be cleaning the loo

Verbal 24-03-2014 08:08 AM

Hate them all, but there is one that I detest above them all. Putting the bins out. Its ten times worse now that they only collect black bags once a fortnight, and its going to be ten times worse again in the next few weeks when they start only collecting 3 at a time.

Hey Council, if you want to force people to recycle then provide them with enough bags!!!!

smudgie 24-03-2014 08:27 AM

Not fussy on any housework, which is quite weird as I honestly used to love if all.
I ironed yesterday, first time in months, only do it when I run out of bedding:blush:

King Gizzard 24-03-2014 08:38 AM

general tidying up is my favourite cause i'm a bit obsessed with everything being tidy

but I hate actual cleaning/dusting/cleaning plates etc, and ironing

Jack. 24-03-2014 09:43 AM

I really hate cleaning the dishes

Crimson Dynamo 24-03-2014 09:45 AM

making the bed. this morning i woke up and the devil dog had demolished a stick under the covers so it looks like the Somme. I have yet to clean it.

..yeah, the bins is the one for me as well, Verbal...does your council provide recycling bags, then..?...we even have to pay a fee for a brown bin to take garden rubbish away...

Josy 24-03-2014 10:26 AM

Cleaning the oven, quite enjoy all the rest.

Natalie. 24-03-2014 10:40 AM

I like dusting the most and vacuuming. Don't like doing the dishes

They do provide bags but it seems to be very random, they post a pack through the door once every few months (if you're lucky) that if I recycled everything would be gone in a month. How people with large families cope is beyond me. Can't even buy them, or at least I can't find them to buy. They do give out free ones if you go to their centre and ask, god knows where that is though.

MTVN 24-03-2014 11:23 AM

Thought everyone just stuffed all their recycling in a different colour bin these days not in actual bags, doing the bins is the only household chore I do/don't mind doing, all the others are a nightmare

I don't mind doing stuff like mowing the lawn though

...we just have a recycle bin and can't put anything in a bag because the plastic bags themselves aren't recyclable...your council obviously have special bags which is a good idea but not if they're given out randomly and occasionally though, that seems to be contrary to what most people need...virtually all of my rubbish goes in the recycle bin...

Kizzy 24-03-2014 11:26 AM

Getting my feckless son to do chores is my least fave chore.

They collect green bags one week then black and pink bags the next here. Its such a pain. Plastics and glass (I think) are supposed to go in the pink bags, things like cans and tins in the green. I haven't had green bags for weeks though so it all goes in the black bags. They are only allowing people to put out 3 black bags at a time from (I think) next week. Which is just ridiculous.

..we don't have any pink bags, all the glass goes to the bottle banks..glass/newspapers/clothes etc...

I cheat... I line the bottom of mine with foil and change it every 3-4 weeks.

Niall 24-03-2014 02:12 PM

Is it weird if I like ironing? Watching all the creases disappear is just super satisfying?!

Black Dagger 24-03-2014 02:16 PM

I love hoovering, because I have my music on and do dance routines (but I make sure all the dirt is picked up ofc)

I ****ing despise washing the dishes though, who in 2014 doesn't have a dishwasher

Snap ahaha, Hoovering is p*** easy, i just listen to my iPod on full blast to drown out the sound of the hoover. Ironing is annoying cause you actually need to pay attention
