i was just curious if anyone on here has seen this film?

for those who don't know it's a film documentary from 1991. It's about the Ball culture in NYC. It documents the challenges transvestites and drag queens faced in their daily lives as well as in their preparation for the ultra competitive ball circuit.

It's amazing and it shows the history behind words such as Shade and KiKi. It's a really interesting film. It's also the film Azealia Banks' song Fierce is based on.

I've been meaning to watch it 'cos of its prominence in drag culture, and was always wondering what Ladyhawke got the name from. Shall try to catch it.

I've always wanted to watch it but I've never really had the time. The trailer looked really good when I first watched it.

This film, i'm surprised it's not a staple film in loads of TiBBers's eyes
