Do you have good neighbours or bad neighbours...

..I watched something about awful neighbours/nightmare neighbours last night..do you have good or bad neighbours/experience of awful neighbours..?...

I used to have the best neighbours ever :flutter: our parents were best friends, most of our ages corresponded and the only boy in their family and my eldest brother were best friends. our families were really close, two of the girls were like the big sisters I never had. they moved out 10 years ago this year though, and we've grown apart although we still keep in contact. they're all seriously good looking now too

in terms of neighbours ever since, we had two scary polish men, foreign students, a weird family and now foreign students again. they're nice and everything but boring

My neighbours are lovely...thankfully.

Pretty good for the most part. There have been a few domestics over the years, and the kids can be loud during the summer, but for the most part I have good neighbors.

they're great :). we always speak if we see each other but they're not irritating and just keep themselves to themselves really.

The neighbours at one sides son was the local scallywag so there used to be drams, not with me but the police and such. The other side is a cantankerous ol git, if I bang a nail in he bangs back... that kind of thing.

Our house is a corner one so there are like 6 back gardens on one side, and then our only proper next door neighbours on the other. In the house next door the same family have lived there for as long as we have and you never get more than a hello out of them; elderly couple with a son in his 40s, he still lives at home with them, they're into their gardening and he's a tree surgeon. We have a long running joke in our family that somebody murdered the other two and dresses up as the others because you rarely see any of them together, it's very odd  and then on the other side the families have changed a lot, there used to be an elderly lady in the very last house on the end and our footballs used to land in her garden a lot :umm2: but she was lovely. She moved into a retirement home a while ago though so we haven't seen her in a long time, not even sure if she's still alive :(

Not bad, the ones on the right are always sitting outside in their front garden, doing weed or whatever which is a bit.. yeah

MTVN 16-04-2014 10:11 AM

They are phantoms, don't think we have seen them for months, that's probably preferable to our old neighbours though who were always leaning over the fence banging on about gardening

I always seem to get ones that don't work, therefore can complain about my dogs lol
old house my neighbours were swingers, she didn't work, claimed to have some kind of disability, you wouldn't see her for months in the winter. Then come summer she would be out smoking cannabis in the garden telling me the dogs were barking before I got home from work in the house!!!

Moved here and had complaints off neighbours quite a few years back about the dogs apperntly howling whenever I went out of the house. (if they had a fookin job they wouldn't hear) anyway I taped them one day, total silence. It was one morning they were whinging for their dinner, I got told it was every time I went out and it was howling and screaming. liars!!! shes not the local bloody councillor too lol
Ive also had someone come out and asked me if I was running a boarding kennel???? Erm no I have enough dogs of my own thanks lol he was of course from the council!!

Good neighbours! We don't really got on with those directly across from us, but everyone else is lovely!

My neighbours are really nice on both sides of my house. They each had a kid that was only a couple months older than I so when we were little we used to be really really close friends but now neither of us talk at all really. Meh.

Samm 16-04-2014 11:48 AM

Good neighbours but don't talk to them that much

smudgie 16-04-2014 12:03 PM

Good neighbours all round really.
We live in a little Close of 7 houses.
Very friendly area and we all talk to each other from the next couple of streets as well.
Even have people knocking on the door because they have not seen the car move off the drive for a while, making sure hubby and I are ok.

no offense, but it sounds like maybe your dogs are too loud. It's really not right to leave dogs locked up alone all day.

Natalie. 16-04-2014 12:12 PM

One is ok and the other is ok apart from police sometimes

smeagol 16-04-2014 01:09 PM

got a priest next door. strange fellow he seems to spend all night in the shed and garden. god knows what he does in there but 3am 4am you can hear him out there.

NEVER EVER EVER have I left my dogs alone locked up all day, I work for a maximum of 3 hours per day and normally there is someone in even when I am out. yes I take huge offense @ you assuming my dogs are locked away all day. Also I video taped the dogs one day when I was @ work (some of them even live outside in luxury kennels lol) and when I watched it back I actually thought someone had stolen the dogs as they were so quiet. I just happened to have tosser neighbours who smoked cannabis and didn't work @ the time in the 1st house. 2nd house now she has a job as a councillor I get no complaints.

Vicky. 16-04-2014 01:33 PM

They are ok now, they were twats when we first moved in though.

InOne 16-04-2014 05:07 PM

Pretty good on both sides. Dylan my dog kisses their female dogs through the fence and then he will jump away and bark. I think he's just trying to impress

Livia 16-04-2014 07:53 PM

My parents are my nearest neighbours, which is great. And they're a good walk away, which is greater. Apart from that it's a donkey and some horses, who are by far the best neighbours I've ever had.
