Shame about it being on a soon-to-be dead console. I reckon Nintendo might announce Wii U's replacement this year.

They're announcing their Quality-Of-Life thingy this year, which could well be a 3DS replacement for all we know, so expect something about their next console next E3 methinks.

We still need Zelda U

They may announce a new version of a 3DS but I don't think they'll be replacing it any time soon.

Nintendo announcing a Wii U replacement this year would surely be catastrophic, tbh. Yes, the Wii U lacks the power of the PS4 and One but Nintendo can still sell units with their exclusives.

Surely, Nintendo, as a console producing company, would be all but dead if they announce a replacement so soon.

Eh you're right, probably not a replacement, but I reckon it'll be similar to the 3DS. The "Third Pillar" if you will.

I don't know if it'll be anything dramatic outside of perhaps a new iteration of the 2DS. I definitely think we'll hear about a new Nintendo console before the year's out though, Wii U is haemorrhaging and Nintendo's left it too late to save it. The best thing they can do is drop the Wii name and bring out something completely new.

Nintendo can put out good titles, but they cant put out a consistent stream of good titles without third party publishers, Nintendo need to have a big rethink for their next console.

Anyone else having issues with motion control on the gamepad? When I go to turn i start skidding after a bit and occasionally go the wrong way round.
