any ideas please

remember ages ago I asked in here about working cleaning peoples houses etc ie how much to charge and such?

well im still working for an agency and until recently I had 3 customers of my own. Sadly one of them has died so I no longer have her. Then today another customers rang me and shes had her days cut to 3 days a week @ work so after next week she no longer needs me. I also packed in one of the customers from the agency as I was terrified id find her dead one day (I actually think she might be dead now)

anyway, so now im needing more customers to replace them and I want more anyway. Ive already delivered some leaflets, but im ordering some more and im going to do loads next week. Ive got a magnet thing for one side of my car and im going to order another one.

what im wanting now is any ideas on how I can get some new customers, other than leaflets and my banner on my car please?
Im thinking local shops advertise. I don't know about the local paper, anything else? any suggestions welcome.

Gumtree's good! There's a website I tried to use for dog walking a couple of years ago, I can't find it but it was just as good as this one http://www.myoddjobs.co.uk/ - I searched 'cleaner' and there were a few! Good luck :)

You could try the Jobcentre as well. They will have vacancies.

Vicky. 23-04-2014 09:31 PM

Honestly wouldnt bother with the jobcentre tbh...so many of their advertised jobs are fake :/

I certainly hope so lol

Set up a FB page for your business with all the info on and ask folk on your FB to share it?
What about you dog track buddies? Dogs are messy.. well mine is haha!
those free advertising boards they have in supermarkets or B&Q maybe too.

mizzy25 03-05-2014 04:31 PM

Well we did some leaflets on mon and tues and ive had a phone call today for a quote, its only to deep clean a kitchen but if I get it im hoping for more regular work off her, quoting on wed.
ive been doing a bootcamp for about a year and I happened to say I was tired on thurs, the guy who does the bootcamp asked me if I worked? I said yes and told him what I did. He said I could b just what hes looking for, then the class started and he had another straight after so we never sorted anything, so on tues I will give him one of my leaflets and il take it from there. so fingers crossed I get both and then they say it comes in threes so another one would b ideal too lol

mizzy25 04-05-2014 03:53 PM

things seem to be looking up. a friend of mine from the dogs has just sent me an e mail asking if we do one off spring cleans. of course we do so im going to give her a quote next mon a full one off clean will take a few hours for 2 of us to do though so it wont b cheap, but then again were not greedy either.

mizzy25 04-05-2014 03:55 PM

oh and she works in a school too so il ask her if she can maybe put a leaflet up there for us.

Vicky. 04-05-2014 04:09 PM

I'm actually quite tempted to hire a cleaner as a one off at the moment..the house is just ridiculous, I feel too crap to sort it and gavs ****ed his shoulder and back.

I think I would be embarrassed though, with someone seeing the state of it :joker:

mizzy25 04-05-2014 04:15 PM

believe me I see all sorts lol

Crimson Dynamo 04-05-2014 04:31 PM
