Whats the last thing that made you stressed?

All in the title.
had a lorry break down yesterday, so had to tow it, then got lost, was towing for about 50 miles.

Bought a new car yesterday because I wrote off my last one in a car crash a few weeks ago and had alot of trouble with a very unhelpful Insurance broker when i was trying to transfer my policy to the new car. I was extremely stressed out because I had literally just bought it but I couldn't leave the garage until I had sorted it out

Stressed about work as it piled up while I was away for a few days, back under control now though.

Yeah, all sorted now, no thanks to the broker, I ended up ringing the Insurance company directly and they sorted me out in two minutes. I'd swear what that broker was saying to me was illegal........he rang me back apologizing 15 minutes after I spoke directly to the Insurance company, complete attitude change so I reckon they must have said something to him

Handed in my dissertation this morning, kept fairly on top of it for most of the year but suddenly had a stressful last few days as I kept having to tweak little bits and cut down on a load of words while wondering if there way anything I could do to improve it. All submitted now though so its out of my hands and I can put feet up :smug:

Kizzy 24-04-2014 12:44 PM

Yey! have a celebratory jaffa cake! :)

Thanks Kiz! It went as well as it could have really, I got asked about a topic I didn't really want but the questions were okay! It was an oral exam so it was only a 15 minute long conversation but it was with a tutor I've never had before and a lecturer who's a bit scatty so I was really nervous about it beforehand! I have another one tomorrow but it's not so scary.

Well it was a bit of a niche topic lol, looking at English foreign policy 1658-1659. I basically was interested in looking at how the English Republic was governed after Oliver Cromwell's death and before we restored the monarchy, and foreign policy in that time had barely been looked at by historians before so was trying to shed more light on why the Republic fell and how capable they were of governing without Oliver Cromwell at the helm

So yeah bit of a strange topic but found it quite interesting once I got into it

I'm in the middle of my dissertation. I need another 1500 words to and I have to send it to be bound tomorrow. :bawling:

I've been rambling passed the first 500 just trying to think of something to type and it's only 6000.

This course may have just about killed my passion for design.

Ah good luck Marsh! Your topic sounds really fascinating Matt, I can't imagine that's a particularly well documented point in history so sounds like you've picked a good topic! Mine was about trust and solidarity/mistrust and a lack of solidarity in the Baltic Sea region (i.e. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland mistrusting Russia and how Russia's gas pipeline to Germany has impacted on regional tensions) which I really enjoyed researching.

smudgie 24-04-2014 03:49 PM

good luck to all you hard working folk, I am sure good results are on the cards.

most stressful thing in my life is hubby off work with health issues.

Doctor is ringing in the morning to say what is what..he may get signed off the sick, fingers crossed.
