Day to day a plug in does the trick..however if we want an ambient mood setting then the candles get lit alongside some ambient music.

Yep...I have some Yankee candles but to be honest I find the cheap versions you get in places like B&M etc have longer lasting scents. I have an open fire but not fire so it's full of candles....looks gorgeous when they are all lit

Josy 24-04-2014 06:20 PM

Yes I have a yankee soft cotton one burning atm

Z 24-04-2014 07:04 PM

Yes. Currently got a winter cotton one from Home Bargains and a flowery smelling one from Tesco, they do the trick. Yankee Candles are beautiful.

Sophiee 25-04-2014 12:04 AM

yes, yankee candles are amazing .

Got to agree Annie. Yankee Candles have been well marketed, but there are plenty of cheaper versions on the market that smell just as good and last just as long and don't cost twenty pounds a pop.

Love candles in a fireplace, bet it looks gorgeous.

Yeah, I prefer burning oil or incense sticks. I think I have a Christmassy scented candle still floating around

Kizzy 25-04-2014 10:35 AM

I used to like nag champa incense, but they give my lad a headache so don't use them much. I like the B&M ones too and they're really slow burning,a lovely graduated colour and reasonably priced too. I'm using the body shop oils at the mo, one's pomegranate and raspberry, the other aloe and soft linen I drop that onto a cold candle or use in a burner. Only needs 1 drop in some water they will last about a year, not bad for £4 each.

Crimson Dynamo 25-04-2014 10:55 AM

i have some and some incense cones but I dont use them really.

Love those Yankee candles! I have a Christmas cookie one at the moment :$ I know it's not Christmas, but it's my favourite.
