Anthony is doing the Match this year again. There is an article in the new Sky Magazine. He does a small interview. I hope he gets into the team again. There are 80 celebs trying out this time.

Hopefully Anthony will get in the squad, he is taking it very seriously, and has been training with a football coach.

He could have been a professional footballer, only for a serious knee injury.

The Match is on 8th October in Newcastle. But there are shows starting on a Sunday from 10th September for three weeks, showing the trials.

The trials started this weekend. Yesterday 70 celebs were taking part, and today the 44 who were chosen after yesterday were playing two games at Oxford's ground.

After todays games, Graham Taylor was selecting his final squad of 21.

He did really well last year, im sure he will do well again.

I thought there might be word today about how they got on yesterday, but so far there's nothing. I think Anthony will get through but it would be nice to hear how he did.

I thought we may have heard something today as well Nizzy, last year news leaked out in the press.

Fingers crossed, Margi! He played so well last year I think he'd almost definitely get through but the competition for places is stiffer this year so it would be nice to know how things went. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Yes, the trials form this weekend are shown next Sunday. I'm not sure what time though!

Then next weekend they play 2 matches to whittle them down from 44 to 21.That is televised the weekend after next. They go abroad for a week after that to train , then they come back and the actual Match starts properly with the eliminations every night, leading up to the final....I think!
