I hate the scrap man..
 

I know hes only trying to make a living and yadayadayada but is it really necessary to knock on my door and just continue knocking until I get up (consequently waking my child up too) at 8am on a ****ing SATURDAY?

I feel totally dead now and its all his fault :bored:

They always do round here..it doesn't normally bother me as it tends to be the afternoon when they come round, or late morning.

But running downstairs in a towel because I thought Gavin had forgot his keys (he was at work last night) only to find a sullen looking bloke asking if the rubbish in my yard was ok to take away (why else would it be in my yard?! Its clearly scrap)...its not good

Slightly tempted to be petty and start chucking my scrap metal in the bin instead of leaving it for him actually

There's rag and bone men that come down my street every week and they don't even have to knock cause there shouting is loud enough to wake you up :bored:

we have one that drives around in a massive pick up truck and shouts from a megaphone

if you take stuff without asking its stealing!, even from a skip!.

I don't mind the ones who come early on weekdays, in fact, they're welcome because they're a good wake up call. It's the ones that come early on weekends that I could rip apart with my bare hands. Selfish, cheeky and unflattering gits. :rant:

You're quite lucky Vicky,we once had two iron gates outside on the drive,taken off the hindges to have re-painted,we came to get the work done and lo and behold they had gone,the scrap man had taken them!! without asking,so in that instance I would have liked a knock to be asked,but 8 o clock in the morning? far too early.

I think we have a dude here that yells and rings a bell at the same time it's really ****ing annoying

A scrap man knocked once and my sister didn't answer the door. He ended up taking the knocker part.

We don't get them around here at all, we did have a rag man but that was a long time ago 20+ years.
