Will civilian series' eventually stop?

Sorry if there's already been a thread on this, but does anyone think that the civilian series' of Big Brother will eventually stop and then there's just one big Celebrity addition a year on Channel 5? Celebrity seems to rate higher and apparently Channel 5's celebrity versions are a lot better than their civilian versions, so do you think if the civilian series' don't rate high in the next few years they'll eventually stop doing them?

I hope not. CBB doesn't really have the same BB feel for me. I still think 2 CBBs a year is overkill.

No. Endemol won't do a contract without normal bb, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't anyway. Besides, no other show brings in that amount of audience to C5 over 70 days, especially in terms of 16-24 demo which is the most lucrative for advertisers

It is overkill, they need to knock them on the head in the next contract

I hate CBB on channel 5.

I really hope not I like CBB, but I much prefer the civilian series.

I doubt the company would want them to build a house just for 24 days use.

Jarrod 18-05-2014 05:42 PM

In saying this... Germany's Big Brother is just Celebrity Big Brother, and they rebuilt their House just for 20 something days.

Samm 18-05-2014 05:48 PM

They said back in 2012 that they would never axe Normal BB and that's when the rating where low so...

InOne 18-05-2014 06:17 PM

Civilian and Celebrity series are slowly becoming one anyway. Over the past few years all of them seem to have agents or some vague celebrity connections anyway. And in the CBB you're getting people who should be by rights on the normal one.

smeagol 18-05-2014 08:44 PM

if they ever stop the civi one i would give it up. i only really like the civi one the last celeb one was rare as being great but normally i dont like them.

i prefer to watch normal people you normally get so much more. celebs are normally to smart to really reveal themselves and bb is about the reveal

mrmattybeck1 18-05-2014 09:43 PM

No chance I still love civilian bb
