Don't really have an actress that I would watch a movie just for them, but Scarlett Johansson is in a lot of my favourite films and Elizabeth Olsen is really good.

I seem to love everything Tilda Swinton turns up in so probably her... between her and Brienne of Tarth being my favourite GoT character, I'm a total sucker for androgynous badasses with a slight Bowie aesthetic.

Not sure on actor... might have been Philip Seymour Hoffman actually.
