Oh are they actually going to have ipads, :umm2:
Why not just leave the door open.
****s sake, started rewatching BB2 just recently, it's so basic and it works so well
What a daft idea.
Its a good idea if they are only used in the house to communicate with each other in secret. Maybe send each other dirty selfies or bitch about the others.
Unfortuneatly I have a feeling by them saying knowledge is power the people with the power will be shown articles about the housemates and their popularity. This is going to be one angry forum this year but its never been done before so lets see how it works, I for one would prefer it not happen at all but we may be surprised. Sadly gone of the days of no phones, no music, no contact with the outside world. In my head this is the last proper BB on Channel 5 I just have a feeling, if this is the case and say ITV2 buy the show based on this series I can see them carrying on the outside contact as they will think its popular with viewers or they wont really know how important no contact is unless they hire a classic producer from back in the day to bring it back to tough, harsh reality show it used to be. *Let us pray |
I'm not crazy about the idea, but it's not like it'll be a 24/7 thing. Probably now and then.
But yeah, I'd rather never at all. |
If housemates get hold of ipads we should stop watching.

no doubt there'll be some form of product placement :yuk:

As much as Marcus has changed in recent years, I can't imagine him saying "*** has been playing Angry Birds for the last three hours and seventeen minutes."
Don't see why everyone is being so negative. Literally no details have been released about iPads or how housemates can use them.
Instead of a bedsit the HOH could just be given an iPad with a live feed on it, or they may be given 'choices' from Big Brother and they choose that on the iPad. It's not like they're being given one to browse Facebook and Twitter... |
I doubt it'll be iPads. Most likely samsung Galaxy equivalent. Haven't you seen the advert?!?! Also, I agree, they aren't going to be allowed to just sit reading/ playing games on it! It'll end up like BB4, which resulted in what has become our Big Brother format, since BB5.
Do the Housemates want a PS4 with that?
BB as I know it is well and truely gone . I will watch the launch but I am not going to sit around waiting for tweets and any other little titbits they throw our way . Who goes we decide my ass.
They're not just going to let the Housemates sit around on iPads to update their Twitter and Facebook accounts. They'll be used - if at all - for small tasks, or the shopping like last year.
If you remember in BB10 they gave them magazines to see what people were saying about them
I am so angry right now.... this is not big brother!!
I'd rather HMs know how the public feels by cheering or booing... the only contact I like cause some really dont expect it |
ne of Big Brother 2014: Power Trip’s senior producers has denied that housemates will have free access to Twitter in a chat with bbspy.
Recently it’s been suggested that top brass will relax the ‘no contact with the outside’ world rule more than ever this year, with the new technology-themed house containing several screens to display information. One report even suggested that contestants might get unrestricted use of Twitter, in what would have been one of the biggest instances of outside contact to date. However, speaking exclusively to bbspy at a press event for Big Brother: Power Trip today, series editor Caroline Davies denied that such access to social networking websites would be provided, and confirmed that the house does not have an internet connection. Davies did admit that Big Brother would reveal selected online posts to housemates when suitable – as has been seen in recent series – but added that any such usage of social media would be monitored. Since the show moved to Channel 5 in 2011, bosses have increasingly solicited opinions from viewers to broadcast in the house as part of tasks and twists. The new ‘Power Trip’ theme will involve contestants going head to head with each other in battles to win control over certain aspects of house life. This is reflected in the futuristic eye logo, as well as the recently-unveiled new look house and Diary Room. Read more: http://www.bbspy.co.uk/bb15/news/060...#ixzz33imiB7jU |
