[Lord Oakeshott has resigned from the Liberal Democrats saying that he is sure
the party is "heading for disaster" under Nick Clegg.
His resignation came after Nick Clegg warned steps would be taken
against him for leaking an ICM poll, which found the Liberal Democrat
leader at risk of losing his seat at the General Election.]

What I found unbelievably ridiculous was they had Stephen Tall from Lib voice on the news, saying they had asked Lib Dem voters,(they must have had to search far and wide for agreat number of those),should Nick Clegg go, the answer was 72% of them said he should stay.

All very well but the people they should be asking are the former Lib Dem voters who have gone from the Lib Dems, not the ones who have stayed.

Lord Oakeshott has good points as to his criticism of Nick Clegg but as I have said before, I too don't think he should resign,I want Nick Clegg to again face the voters he kicked in the teeth for their trust and votes.
Also the fact he helped make sure they had to wait a full 5 years before they got the chance to give their verdict on him and what he took his party to support.

I agree he himself is no loss,so on that I agree with you it is good he has gone.
However what I said was he had 'good points in his criticism of Nick Clegg', not that he had any great redeeming values himself.
