Netherealm's on a roll, both MK9 and Injustice were fantastic so I can't wait to see more of this, we'll probably have to wait until next week for some gameplay footage and details.

I wonder what Deus Ex Machina they'll use to bring everyone back from the dead after the last game.

They go to the Netherrealm to get everyone back?

Shinnok will probably magic them all back to life for no apparent reason.

whatever it is I'm sure it'll be wonderfully over-the-top and illogical <3

Some new info.

Update: Mortal Kombat X will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, according to Warner Bros.

Given the fact the game will be cross-generational, it seems likely that the below trailer isn't made from gameplay footage, but so far both WB and NetherRealm have remained mum on exactly what it shows off. The game will apparently be on show at E3 next week, so hopefully we'll be able to tell you more very soon.

The studio has also claimed that MKX "launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy. For the first time, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style. Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together."
This 'Multiple variations of a character' business sounds both interesting and slightly worrying.

Mortal Kombat X is set to reveal at least part of its roster at E3, including two brand new fighters.

The news comes courtesy of franchise creator Ed Boon on Twitter, who responded to a fan asking if we'd see any new participants in the upcoming game to say "Yes! Two of my new favourites will be at E3!"

Boon also promised we'd get some idea of the title's plot, which is apparently both a continuation of the story begun in MK9 as well as being entirely original, and will finally see some gameplay at E3.

The upcoming fighter, which was announced earlier this week, is due out sometime next year on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Yesterday we got a chance to look at the box art featuring Scorpion, and you guys also told us which fighters you'd like to see return.

For much, much more on Mortal Kombat X, be sure to stay with us next week at E3.
I hope the new characters aren't as floppy as some of the previous new characters, Skarlet was cool in MK9 but nobody wants more of the likes of Drahmin, Li Mei, Kobra or Ashrah.

I hope they don't get rid of anyone from the last game, If Rain or Sindel aren't in this one I'll slap a bitch.

The new gameplay trailer (With Killer Fatalities and the two new characters)

Turns out this game is set 25 years after MK9, Ed Boon also confirms another new character, Cassie Cage (Sonya and Cage's Daughter)
