My pal used to live in Nottingham and when I went to visit, their fave TV show at that time was Rab C Nesbitt. I had to ask how they understood it as even I (Scottish) had difficulties sometimes with the Weegie lingo.

Their answer was fine - they used the teletext service to subtitile it like a foreign language show!

We went to london to see the American Football @ Wembley......there were some Weegies staying at same hotel. When we went to the local supermarket to buy some booze the Weegies went apesh1t that the local wee purveyer had no Buckfast in stock, it almost came to blows/pollice called - TRUE STORY
