We're on tv for 5.1 million people.

Ego and mathematical fail and where did he get such a precise number from lol.

Samm 07-06-2014 01:23 PM

I swear every Thread you make is about something Negative

arista 07-06-2014 01:25 PM

Negative
could be

armand.kay 07-06-2014 01:25 PM

Most people don't look at rating lmao.

[2] This, although you're entitled to your opinion, why watch it if you always say negative stuff about it. I just don't get it.

daniel-lewis-1985 07-06-2014 01:30 PM

I don't allways say negative stuff ffs this happened lol.

Im making a thread on something I just watched on youtube. With only 5 minutes or so of footage out there what do you expect me to make a thread about?

Im not the one posting threads about "who do you hate yet" like others.

Honestly the people commenting on this are usually the people preaching hate about the housemates.

Because im a fan of the show and have watched since day 1. I don't allways have a negative opinion at all. Honestly hit the block button I made a thread about something a housemate said and everyone starts crying.

Headie 07-06-2014 01:37 PM

Tbh as long as BB keeps averaging over 1million, I can't see C5 axing it. Especially since CBB usually producers double the ratings of normal BB.

As long as the show is still on air then I'm not bothered about ratings tbh, I just want to enjoy it.

RichardG 07-06-2014 01:41 PM

How is this thread negative? :conf: He's just commenting on something a housemate said...

It made me laugh too, I swear there's always at least one person each series who says something similar.

jackc1806 07-06-2014 01:43 PM

5.1m? More like 1.6 hahaha

Jarrod 07-06-2014 01:43 PM

Well, I thought that. How on earth did they get 5.1 Million? Even BB on C4 didn't get that in the later years.

Jemal 07-06-2014 01:44 PM

Daniel i don't have a problem with this thread but how is Marlon suppose to know about the ratings?
Not everybody is a BB freak like us and stares and waits for the ratings lol.

jackc1806 07-06-2014 01:44 PM

Ratings aren't actually statistically correct, they are based on what 1000 people with special boxes watch however every other show has to use the same process

But its the ratings that keep it on air and Viacom haven't said its been renewed yet (bites nails).

I love how BB rates, last year felt like BB was making a comeback and was relevant again. I just love it when it succeeds and all the haters have to endure 3 months of it all over their online newspapers and mags whilst sitting at their work desks lol.

On a plus its good to see it beating ITV and other major networks.

Anyway this thread wasn't supposed to be a ratings bashing it was just something that made me think Marlon had a massive ego.

jackc1806 07-06-2014 01:46 PM

Celebrity Big Brother, which featured housemates including Amy Childs, Tara Reid Sally Bercow and former The X Factor contestants Jedward, had an average of 5.1 million viewers between 9pm and 10.30pm, a 21.9% share of the audience.

Got it from this?

I know but 5.1? It was so specific I think maybe the producers tell the housemates this in the "talk of doom" before they enter the house?

Well yeah obviously I know it needs ratings to survive, but as long as I'm enjoying it then that's all that matters to me IMO. I don't really care about the ratings that much, as long as it's on air then I want to be enjoying it. Of course I want it to be renewed every time the contract runs out, so hopefully it will be.

I don't think Marlon has a big ego... he probably just thinks that Big Brother is watched by loads since it's one of the most well known shows in Britain.

I'm feeling confident about the cast this year.

To be honest im feeling a lot more confident about the housemates since watching youtube today I just wish they would upload more footage because its really hard to get to know 16 housemates.

From what ive seen of Marlon hes going to be a big personality in the house but im not a fan so far.

Well you dont seem a fan to me you just knock everything about this series and seems like you dont want to get to like it

Jarrod 07-06-2014 02:11 PM

I believe they're waiting for the Viacom deal to be finalized before signing the BB contract but it almost certainly is being renewed.
