Did anyone else think this odd? I couldn't work out what that expression meant, was she thinking '****'? Or was she pleased?

They missed the clip of Pauline comforting her a bit, don't think she wanted her in tears.

I think Pauline sees Jale as a threat, all the other girls are pretty young things and Pauline felt like she had the average older lady vote and Jale walked in and Pauline sees her as a threat

Agreed. It was a victory from Pauline's pov. She wanted to bring Jale to baby level.

She wanted her upset imo because she was mad that jale didnt react badly to her killer nom.

It was the outcome she wanted, poor Jale didn't deserve that bullying.

Exactly correct.

Pauline was raising her voice and speaking aggressively because she wanted to bait Jale into an argument. Jale didn't rise to it. Anyone calling this a victory for Pauline doesn't understand the game at all. Jale's stock is soaring, while Pauline's is plummeting.
