Uber has now said they can go on there app.

But as its getting the customer low fares
the London Black Cabs will not make as much - so may not do it.

I'll continue to use black cabs. The drivers are licenced, I'm not sure how this Uber thing works with licencing their drivers. If it's anything like minicabs, you take your life in your hands. I feel safe in a black cab, and also, they do The Knowledge so they always know where they're going. I imagine Uber will rely on satnavs.

I use Halo over here. So much heaper and you can see the taxi guy beforehand and look at their ratings....ita excellent

Any woman who uses a minicab is mad in my opinion, indeed any bloke is too. You have no idea if the car has tax, insurance, brakes, legal tyres

Shame you can't see his insurance and licence... you know where you are with a black cab, they're reliable and safe. I can see why they're angry.

Well the halo app here has their taxi license and a picture of the guy...its priven to be a lot safer
