Ditch traditional noms, have the Power Housemate nom every week
 

As a lot of you probably know I've thought for a while now the traditional noms format in BBUK needs to be changed cause IMO it's outdated and really isn't that interesting or funny to watch anymore like it was with the kind of casts we had in BB6 and 7 and whilst I've argued that we should implement the US format and that'd still be good I have to say I've been impressed with the Power Trip theme so far...

This week especially, as gutted as I am with the results and the fact that Chris got the power (even if he's kinda been good with it), the way they've pulled it off deserves some praise. I REALLY like the sound effect and then the light changing on the memory wall rather than Big Brother announcing the results...their reactions have been quite hilarious and all this paranoia is making for awesome TV <3

Definitely like the fact the Power Housemate has been secret also, so yeah...I say ditch traditional noms and do this every week, but make sure you can't be the PH twice in a row and have competitions to earn the power...although they'd need to be ones where the result isn't overtly obvious :think:

The problem with this is that it basically means the public are nominating which makes me quiver in my boots at the thought.

Stick to traditional noms, but have immunity challenges or save and replace challenges.

The way they did it with Pauline was fine. Have her be immune since she's the power HM, and let her make decisions that affect the house, but still let the whole house nominate.

only If they have to compete for the power, and its only 2 nominations + Jale.

No i like normal DR noms, not face to face as it takes the who nommed me element away

I said I want them to have comps to decide who gets the power :suspect: whether they continue letting the Power Housemate nom or keep them a secret or not, if they continue letting the public select them regardless I'm gonna be pissed

No way, Chris' nominations got boring after the third/fourth person even this week. The novelty would definitely wear off with time, especially if the same person becomes power housemate.

Not to mention how important and traditional the normal nomination process is to the show. Changing it would just be another big step in completely altering what Big Brother used to be. Change is good, but this 'power housemate' stuff is a it too gimmicky for me.

As much as I like Chris, I missed full nominations this week.

I missed proper nominations too although it annoys me when it gets down to the final 2-3 weeks and you have an idea who people are gonna vote for.
The power housemate is good for a week or so but then its gonna get boring
