Do I think that the practice of selling sex for money be legalised though no, however I appreciate that whilst it remains unregulated exploitation will continue.

I don't really mind it but legalising it may help? Or make if even more common place. It's hard to know and a huge risk imo

Yes it should be, no reason not to. The 'problems' people give as reasons for it not to be legalised (disease etc.) would be greatly diminished or even non existant if it was, as it would be regulated and medical checks would be mandatory for all concerned. Then there is the whole human trafficking business, which would equally disappear.
A lot of cities have brothels as it is anyway, and the police turn a blind eye because it keeps the girls and their 'clients' off the streets. There are also dozens upon dozens of girls that work 'freelance' from their homes, which obviously has its own dangers. If it was legal then violence against these girls would be a hell of a lot less, because the police would be forced to take the girls seriously.

I don't have a problem with it. It's very sad to see the way some of the girls end up though. Completely chaotic lives. There's so many levels of prostitution it's hard to say if making it legal would change it for the most vulnerable ones, they're always going to need a way to feed their addictions.

I do have a problem with the way prostitution is run in this Country.

It's the oldest profession in the world so you will never stop it, but it should be legalised because it is open to various abuses. Some women are trapped in a cycle of drugs and prostitution, some are sex slaves and have no voice forced to pay off bogus debts with never ending sexual services. they risk all manner of diseases and are kept in utterly intolerable conditions physically and mentally abused.

At least legalising it would solve a lot of these problems and providing brothels were monitored the criminal gangs would find it harder to make money off these women.

If people want to buy sex and sell sex then there must be safeguards to ensure the safety and well being of all involved.

About time it was legalised for all concerned.

Get them off the streets and into brothels on out of town trading estates etc.
Let the taxman take his share.
Stops the clients getting done over and keeps the girls/boys safe.
Mandatory health checks every month.

The problem with legalizing it is then it becomes easier to get into. and becomes a job.

but legalize it with brothels everywhere . well how easy is that job. rather than work at macdonalds people would take the easier option. or just do for cash when stuck as its legal.
