Why is the girl always blamed

Ok I have holding off on starting a thread like this but looking at the dozens of threads blaming Kim for starting things with Steven for a showmance or to 'get herself further in the competition' I feel strongly enough to put this out there. Why is the girl ALWAYS blamed when relationships start in the house an example of this is Hazel and Daley last year. Hazel was blamed constantly for breaking up a relationship yet it was Daley who actually started to gravitate towards Hazel first as he fancied her. Sure she flirted with him of course she did but it takes two to tango. Kim and Steven are a totally different scenario yet she is being blamed again. Steven and Kim had quite an intimate chat on the first night while sitting in the garden. Stevens mother said that his face lit up when Kim entered the house. Ok so we have established that he DOES fancy Kim. Kim is pretty aloof and deep and hasn't shown much emotion so far in the series but in her line of work she probably has guys hitting on her all the time and is careful about her emotions. I think she likes him but I agree that its probably pretty one sided as regards anything else. If she wants to hang out with him and even have the odd cuddle it ISNT because she wants to get further in the show. If you notice she is in the top 3 most popular housemates in these forums since the start of the series and he is near the bottom. If you are stuck in there for ten weeks and a guy pays you some attention and hangs out with you there is NOTHING wrong with that. The people who for whatever reason don't like Kim will say otherwise but at least answer the question WHY IS THE WOMAN ALWAYS BLAMED ?

I haven't seen people care enough about the showmance to blame either party really  All I've seen is people saying she looks uninterested in Steven but then she looks uninterested in most things tbh

I love paragraphs

Not always, Luke S was blamed for the greatest Big Brother romance of all time in Lushleigh.

Niamh. 24-06-2014 03:26 PM

also it's more of a compliment to Kim really, because mostly people don't believe that she would be into a sap like Steven :hehe:

Lot's of older women on fb and here. I have noticed the girl always gets the heat during a showmance/romance that happen and I tend to think a lot of it comes down to envy.

Ammi 24-06-2014 05:47 PM

..I haven't seen anyone 'blame' her, there isn't any blame anyway in a showmance, they've both equally decided to bore us with wasted airtime...

Simple,Men have a penis and testosterone,Their testosterone is the driver of their penis. It will drive the penis into almost any vagina that is placed infront of it.Women have the power,If they provide a small hint that the penis may possibly have a space to park for free then the testosterone will try to drive the penis into the parking space. If the car park has a 'closed' sign up then testosterone will look for somewhere else to park. The owners of the car park need to decide which sign to put up,Either 'open' or 'closed'.It is up to the parking attendant as to wether the car park is open for business or not.

Shaun 24-06-2014 06:21 PM

is that meant to be amusing

Northern Monkey 24-06-2014 06:21 PM

Yes:joker:

I attack both Steven and Kimberly for starting up a showmance.

And the answer to your question is teenage girls like good looking guys more than good looking girls.

I don't find that funny if you want to comment on my thread please be respectful I have never in all the years I have been posting on these forums used sexual innuendo like that

Macie Lightfoot 24-06-2014 07:37 PM

Sexism and double standards have always been rampant with this show (Melanie in BB1 was single and kissed two guys on the lips = ***** of Babylon vs. Claire having a boyfriend or seven or nine years or something but having a will they-or-won't they thing with Craig = public ships them; Siavash cheats on his girlfriend = is pitied because he threw it all away for True Love vs. Noirin being seen as a skank and a tease for making out with him but then hanging out with her REAL LIFE boyfriend ; etc.) but Channel 5 is ridiculous with it all. CBB13 was basically one huge "men are great women are evil" propaganda (and was even won by a misogynist) and they seem to love casting women like Helen, Kimberly, and Danielle who all have used their sexuality in various jobs and whatnot but don't bring those aspects of their lives into the house. Meanwhile, we have someone like Benedict whose entire in-house platform was sex and masturbation yet he's hardly criticized for anything.

And then to cap it all off there's the Daley/Hazel thing, which as a standalone incident is disgusting enough, but then after it all Channel 5 releases a statement that is basically like "Hazel had it coming with her seductive charm. Also we didn't show this but she said she gets off on men choking her so #bitchdeservedit" and it was so appalling. Hazel certainly had balls/no shame whatsoever to go on BOTS this year after that one.

Not Steven specifically but of a really beautiful and young girl being admired.

No one actually thinks like that about people on TV, I'm sorry but it's just stupid. Why on Earth would anyone be jealous of some girl on TV that they will never meet and will never effect their life? And where is the evidence that that's peoples motivation? There have been popular young pretty girls in BB, a few of them even won the whole show..............cos they were nice girls

Seriously? No "older" women on here have shown anything close to envy....I would imagine very few care...

Some people envy the very fact others are prettier than them, or envy people for being good at something.

Don't tell me I am stupid because I pretty much used to be like that, when I was about 13 I used to hate girls who were skinny because that's what I wanted to be. You may not agree but it doesn't make my point invaluable or stupid just because you disagree.
