Hopefully what (I think, anyway) Chris is saying here isn't misconstrued. He seems more opposed to the celebration of ignorance some of the other housemates show (Steven saying philosophy is unnecessary in 2014, Mark saying grammar isn't important), rather than a lack of intelligence.

Or he just thinks they're all utterly stupid, which I'd struggle to disagree with also.

I don't think Chris has a problem with people who aren't brimming with academic intelligence, he just has trouble dealing with twats who wallow in their own idiocy, people who value their vanity over the ability to hold a conversation of any value.

Chris has had some great one liners and moments in the show, but in that particular clip he was just mumbling and wasn't really expressing himself well. Ashleigh was just talking nonsense. If you are going to bitch at least be good at it or don't bother. It was a collective fail from all 3 housemates on this occasion.

chris is smart in the people sence no idea about anything else but he knows people
nothing wrong with looking down on these people. they are a bunch of arrogant self absorbed people with no people skills who think they are above anyone else.
but he needs to cool it a bit and be careful he doesn't come across as snobby

yeah but i think what really gets to him is their self importance. it is unsually high this year .yesterday he said it doesn't matter really what someone is like but if they are kind and have manners that wins him over.
i guess these people are just not that type
