Growing on me a lot

Ashleigh's been going up in my estimations recently...she's not just the quiet, inoffensive fence-sitter she appeared to be in the first week, I love her and Danielle's bitching sessions...they remind me of BB6 :flutter: but no I love the fact that she knows what's what in the house and has pretty spot on opinions of people like Helen and Ash and is pretty harsh in her words about them <3 definitely wouldn't have expected that from her on first glance. She seems like a really nice girl that doesn't like ***** and will stand up for people who are being treated badly, basically <3

I do fear for her life in a way when imagining an argument between her and Helen but I really want it to happen now because in all honesty I get the feeling she might surprise us all and be able to hold her own? That would be the most amazing thing ever if the 18 year old girl could give Helen some home truths, it's a tall order though...I'm a bit apprehensive cause as Mark's been saying I'd feel quite protective over her just because of her age  but it's definitely something I want to see and can see happening soon, she's getting more pissed off by the day

If she keeps it up I may start to support her, from one of the bores to an emerging bitch that may take on Helen...good stuff :clap1:

:cheer2:

I reckon she could hold her own, but I think she feels she needs support to take it on in case she is ostracised from the group. Then again with Toya gone what has she got to loose.

Samm 27-06-2014 11:50 PM

I love her , it' a shame Toya was evicted they could of made the BB6 bitch thing happen again with Toya, Ashleigh and Danielle

Marsh. 27-06-2014 11:52 PM

Oh yeah, when she speaks to her teddy bear, oooh, the backbone.

Locke. 27-06-2014 11:52 PM

Oh no, this means we'll have more threads about saving her and evicting the so called bores in a couple of weeks only for her to be evicted anyway doesn't it

Well imagine that. We agree! I have always seen Ashleigh as strong, tough and not the little wallflower at all. I'm hoping she takes on Helen without lowering herself to her level though.
I think this week we'll find out that Ashleigh isn't the teddy hugging bore she's portrayed to be.

Ashleigh & Danielle > the lessors

Josy 28-06-2014 12:25 AM

She is one of the most boring hm's ever, lays around bitching all day with Danielle who acts as if she's tommy ten men then neither of them does **** all about it.

GypsyGoth 28-06-2014 12:34 AM

She needs to do something and stop talking about doing something.

And I don't even mean confront people (who she's been bitching about behind their backs for weeks), I mean just get more involved in the house. Her only storyline so far is her bad mouthing people while they're out of earshot.

Does it wind you up like it does me? Maybe this is what is riling Helen, if it's gritting me just as a viewer.

I'm doing it again, almost supporting Helen:conf:

Would much rather see them and Stephen evicted than any of the others, even Helen.

No she isn't? Quiet in the context of the house itself perhaps, but certainly not in the show anymore. And a fence-sitter is someone that either goes around saying 'well I can see both sides' and refuses to take a stance or just doesn't have any opinion on anything at all. Ashleigh can't be described in those terms anymore in any way shape or form, she's made her opinion of Helen quite clear...it doesn't matter whether she's said it behind her back or not, she has an opinion and she's spoken it rather than kept it in which would have made her a fence-sitter. And I wouldn't describe some of the ways in which she's described that other group as 'inoffensive' either.

Jack_ 28-06-2014 12:41 AM

Am I the only one that's glad it's building up? I thought I was the one that was accused of being desperate for drama to happen 24/7 and immediately on here  I've enjoyed how over the past week she's emerged as someone that doesn't have no opinions, she literally detests Helen I'd say more than anyone else in there (who'd have thought it coming from her a few weeks ago) and she doesn't seem the timid little girl we all assumed she was when she walked in. Just because she's yet to say anything to Helen's face it doesn't mean she can still be described in ways she was before, I mean this is Helen we're talking about...I think we can give her a little leeway for not wanting to start anything up with her yet but let's give her a bit of time, I will be amazed if neither of them start on each other soon enough.

She's finally got a role and storyline in the show which we can pick apart and have discussions like this over, I think that's a good thing.

I think the problem is, it's all hot air at the moment.

Ashleigh is deluded if she thinks Danielle will support her in an argument, she has become invertebrate.

This is how Ashleigh vs Helen "confrontation" might go down

Jack_ 28-06-2014 12:43 AM

It's shame Toya left because obviously she'd have had her back but I do hope Mark sticks to his word and supports her should an argument start, I want to see him angry again as well :joker:

Yes it's really annoying me, especially when Marcus says 'Ashleigh is in the kitchen talking about...' you can actually finish his sentence.

Jack, I would be glad it was building up if it was actually going somewhere but it's a damp squib, they will never get into an argument imo.

It's not even as if shes getting 5 or so minutes worth of highlights, it's just a few seconds and words of her saying things about other housemates. She has no storyline building up to it, it seems to come out from nowhere. I don't think i've ever seen a housemate look as bored, lifeless and grumpy as much as her. We know nothing about her, we don't know how she behaves whilst having fun (she doesnt believe in fun), we don't know how she behaves during an argument.. all we do know is that she can't crack a smile and is living from 30 seconds worth of bitching highlights a day.

I've said housemates will be holding back whilst in the company of the likes of Helen who will attack anybody that opens their gob, and Ashleigh is probably one. I like her and i think shes got a lot more to offer, but so far she just puts a downer on the show.
