Christopher : Who is he? Safety player or just plain boring?

Imagine the house without Christopher. It's easy ! It would be no different to the house WITH him !

I thought Sam Evans was boring last year, but even HE came in with some pre-rehearsed corny jokes. Christopher - i don't get what he brings to the house or to the show at all.

Everyone else - love them or hate them - have shown a full range of emotions and opinions. They are on their journey. That's what BB is all about. Christopher - i know nothing more about him than i did on day one.

I'm sure he is a nice guy, but i have no idea if he is or isn't! He doesn't seem to show himself. He just stands on the edges, watching the others (you can tell he is a journalist). And even in the diary room - he doesn't give personal opinions - he just 'reports' on the house in very safe way, just stating the obvious.

"it's eviction, night and everyone is nervous, no one knows if they are going to go or not, there are a lot of people up, 8 people, the boys are up together, marlon, winston and ash and they are all sharing that experience together and i think people are a bit anxious i think"

Still awake? Listening to him is more like reading a boring police report than enjoying a colourful housemate.

Even when his mate came on BOTS - he avoided every question Emma asked him - all he could say is how much Christopher is loved on the outside!

So is Christopher a big BB fan, playing it safe and cruising to the final under the radar - or is he just actually quite boring. Or both?

Maybe he is wary because he got picked on from the start and some of the HM's use him as a scapegoat eg, easy to nominate because he accepts it with good grace, unlike Ash and Steven. He stands up for himself but in a 'too nice' way. I think he's too controlled for his own good and as a result we don't get to see the real him. Plus he is hardly ever shown in the HL's so its hard for us to form any real opinion about him.
Who is he? I just don't know. He needs to be in the middle of a good storyline that breaks down his barriers before we can get an idea.

The latter of your thread title imo.

He is a dullard who should be evicted next week.

He is playing the wide eyed, innocent and naive card very well, the fact that I can empathise with him is the only reason I would pick others to go ahead of him, because he really irritates me.

Harmless...but dull and will cruise through to the final with the sympathy vote just like Sam.

How did Sam play the sympathy card? Some of them didn't even know he was deaf until he told them. I hate this attitude that just because someone has a disability or is a bit shy or different they are playing the sympathy card. **** off.

he is both. no one should be compared to the worst winner n bb history i.e the forgetable snoozing bore sam.

he is quirky and i think just doing his thing. its funny he always gets into arguments and problems but he doesn't actually do anything to deserve it.

likeable and safe maybe but not that safe he does say what he thinks

Rusticgal never said Sam played the sympathy card - she just said Sam got sympathy votes. Which is true.

Anyway - let's stick to the thread which is about Christopher and how he compares to other boring HMs (including Sam who - disability or not - was a similar boring HM who cruised through under the radar)

He's probably the dullest one in there. I really want to know why Chris described Christopher as 'a hardly functioning person'. :joker:

I really like him, he has had events in the house with Toya and he does seem to have needed to watch his back in there at times too, maybe not so much now Toya has gone.

I still think his real best as a housemate is yet to come, he has done okay and hasn't peaked too early with a lot of promise left.

Perhaps his confidence has had a shaking in the early weeks but hopefully again this week when he is one of the first saved, (if he remains up at all), he may get into a more confident stride soon.
