Is Jale suffering from Stockholm syndrome?

Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness

i don't think BB has captured her just yet - she can walk when she wants. most hostages can not.

I was more referring to her now begin friend with her former abusers namely Helen and crew.

waterhog 29-06-2014 03:09 PM

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh i beg your pardon. i think jale might be a bit wiser - keeping her cards close to her chest. then again she maybe making friends out of weakness and fear from them. so your point is adding up. thanks i never saw that.

jet 29-06-2014 03:19 PM

She's very grateful and appreciative that they very kindly aren't mocking her anymore.

Mystic Mock 29-06-2014 03:20 PM

Erm the last time I checked Jale wasn't really in that much emotional torture to get that.

If being called a slug and a maggot and sitting within earshot while people laughed at her didn't bother her then she's a very strange person indeed. She may not have been in 'emotional torture' as you dramatically put it, but she must have felt hurt and ostracized.
But it is good of them to have stopped it  and she's happy about that.

She is not being held captive by anybody. The trivialising of serious things on here over this television show borders on offensive sometimes.
