I miss golden age Big Brother so much!
 

I really miss the 'golden age' of Big Brother, from Big Brother 5 - Big Brother 8. I really didn't appreciate them when they were being aired on TV, I'd honestly give anything to go back and live in 2004-2007 at the age I am now where I could fully appreciate these series. All four series were really Big Brother at its best, and I don't think Big Brother will ever ever ever get back to this standard ever again! :bawling:

Comparing BB15 to any of the four golden age Big Brother series makes me weep, how did Big Brother change? Does anyone else miss it so much? I keep thinking I'm the only one hung up on the past series...

'Miss' and 'BB8' don't belong in the same sentence...

Um, it was the last good BB we got..

Carole, Jonty, Chiggy, Tracey, Liam, a random influx housemates halfway through that did nothing for the series nor did anyone like and Brian Belo :umm2:

I agree with you on the others but BB8 was one of the nails in the Channel 4 coffin

BB5 to BB 7 was the goldenage. BB 3 was the prologue, and BB9 was a brief revival. It's been downhill from BB7 though

Ew, obviously I disagree with most but I agree with you on the halfway house housemates, ew, such a horridly executed twist. It backfired so much unless they wanted to get rid of their halfway housemates so quickly, Shanessa being evicted like 2 days after she became a housemate. :hehe: The swapping housemates thing didn't work either, besides Ziggy, the housemates who were swapped had already been in the halfway house like Shanessa.

Don't come for BB8 like that

If they'd just filled the house with Charley's on launch night and never put in any males, it'd go down in BB history as the most iconic series ever.

BB10 and BB13 were amazing and at times just as good as good as the golden age.

But yeah generally BB8 is considered the worst series ever :unsure:

I think the whole forum went through a stage of comparing these to the channel 4 era or the later BBs to the superior earlier ones a couple of years ago. It's probably because this is your first channel 5 series that you're feeling like that.
