The bloody Tour de France...

I've never even heard of it until this year... Apparently 6 million people will be arriving in Yorkshire over the next week or so because of it. There are road closures EVERYWHERE... I wont be able to drive literally all weekend.

Is it affecting anyone outside of Yorkshire? It apparently goes all around the country

It comes through Essex sometime in July I think, and there will be disruptions then. It just doesn't interest me at all though, even though that seems to be all the local papers are about at the moment.

You should join the race

Well good luck for when it does come... it will be chaos. I'M WARNING YOU NOW, RUN WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!

Viva Le Tour.

We as a family absolutely love the Tour, we watch it every year and our kids were allowed to eat their tea in the room when it was on.

The best thing ever for it to come to Yorkshire for The Grand Depart.
It will generate millions for the area for years to come...apart from the absolute rip off prices some establishments have decided to charge for rooms etc. all is positive.

I will be glued to the box from 10.30 come Saturday morning, poor hubby is on 12 hour days..and it is his birthday.
The first stage of the Tour covers all our favourite jaunts into the countryside.
