Are they not backed up on your computer? Should be backed up in your iTunes.

idk, I just signed up for icloud when I got it a year ago and that's it

Well if the only answer is "idk" then I don't see if anyone can help you.

It entirely depends if you backed them up. If you did, you can retrieve them, if you didn't, you can't.
