Favourite EA Sports game series?

Poll coming up

From the recent ones I've played

PGA > Grand Slam > Fifa

Fifa, PGA & Madden are all great.

SSX & Skate used to be good fun back in the day too.

They are all abortions of creativity. It's all the same, just the same crap released over and over with a new lick of paint.

Drew. 12-07-2014 06:42 PM

If you don't play them year after year then it's easy to say that. You notice the differences, improvements and updates they bring to the games each year a new ones released.

Tiger Woods

(is that a thing anymore?) That's my favourite EA game that I've played

Don't really agree with that, PGA's gameplay and Career is so much in depth then it use to be a few years ago and the controls are much better now, they have almost perfected them and Grand Slam although there has only been 1 recent one it has corrected the wrongs of Virtua and Top Spin and it actually feels like your playing a proper challenge noe instead of some arcade game

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 the last one they are using his name in

King Gizzard 12-07-2014 06:54 PM

probably the best games EA do and it's nearly impossible to get tired of them if you like golf

The most enjoyable game ever when your birdie'ing every hole but the most frustrating game ever when your stuck in the bucker and ending up with a double bogey

FIFA and, despite being like 1 of the 10 who like the series, FIFA Street.

This is very true. Well, I can only speak for FIFA.

King Gizzard 12-07-2014 11:04 PM

I liked when FIFA street was sort of goofy and you could do unrealistic tricks on it

All EA games I pretty much dabble with but never get really into a series enough to buy them every year. Madden is the one I've played the most in the last few years probably, never got that into Fifa for some reason apart from as a way of killing a few minutes playing against a mate, and PGA I used to play quite a bit but not been on it for years now. NBA and NHL I've played demos of but never had the full game and Fight Night I've been meaning to give a go, never played Grand Slam Tennis because I've always just had Top Spin games.

We need a proper new tennis game, I swear it's been ages since we had one, we need a bigger line-up as well tbh.

I swear on the most recent one there was like 6 ATP and 6 WTA.

MTVN 13-07-2014 12:41 AM

Yeah I've Top Spin 4 and it's got about that, and on the WTA it just has a strange mix of Serena, Ivanovic, Wozniaki, Jankovic then Genie for some reason even though it's a pretty old game now

Must find it hard to get the rights for tennis players, imagine Grand Slam tennis is better for that

Ryan57 13-07-2014 12:48 AM

Would cost a bomb to acquire a large roster. Grand Slam Tennis 2 had poor sales which doesn't help matters. Would imagine EA are the only ones who could afford to pay for the rights to a large amount of players.

Novo 13-07-2014 11:28 AM

Yeah the selection in Career mode is always to basic although at least GS2 had the real events and courts, Genie was only on it because she is so marketable and it would sell well in Canada and the States same with James Blake and Monfils still being on most games

Years ago I like playing NHL Hockey. Also PGA Golf was good too. Never been a fan of the football games they make.
