BIG BROTHER champ Pete Bennett has apologised to his dumped lover Nikki Grahame saying: “I’m really sorry I hurt you.”

The 24-year-old rocker admitted he was “depressed” over the split but knew he couldn’t carry on if it wasn’t working.

Tourette’s sufferer Pete said he finished the relationship to avoid hurting Nikki any more.

He felt his life had “spiralled out of control” in the glare of publicity which followed his BB triumph.

Honest Pete said: “I’m really sorry if I hurt Nikki. It upsets me to think everyone thinks badly of me over this. I ended it because I didn’t want to hurt her more. I was just being honest.

“Nikki and I just aren’t compatible. I do love her to bits but I don’t think it could ever work.”

And the troubled singer said he was guilt-stricken over saying Nikki, also 24, “wasn’t interested in sex”.

He said: “This is all spiralling out of control. I should have kept my mouth shut about our sex life.

“Everything got on top of me and the added problems with our relationship were stressing me out.

“I felt sick the night it ended and I was very emotional. It wasn’t an easy thing to do.”

Nikki was devastated by what she called Pete’s “betrayal”. What hurt her most was that he dumped her over the phone.

But Pete, who’s also quit his Daddy Fantastic band and moved into ’80s star Adam Ant’s old house in north London, said he couldn’t lie.

He added: “I’m not a coward and I wouldn’t have ended our relationship over the phone by choice, but Nikki called and pretty much asked what was up.”

Since their break-up Pete has got together with art student Gemma Costain, 21, also known as Cherry.

The pair have been photographed enjoying wild nights out and even performing a sleazy vampire sex show on stage at a club in Brighton.

Pete admits Nikki’s not been in touch since their traumatic split.

He said: “I’d like to stay friends. I haven’t heard from her, but I hope things can get better.”

Don't really like either of them but is Pete really sorry? i think it's more of he tells the public what they want to hear, of course if he says how sorry he is people will think how nice he is for apologising, just my view on the situation.

He is a complete player,i wonder how long his P.R or agent took to write this

He is just worried about his reputation as being "perfect Pete. What a joke" which might be tarnished and perhaps cost him a few money making outings.......I admire Nikki for not making any nasty comments about him. Very mature for someone with a reputation of behaving like a child.....

Nothings gonna change my opinion of him now.

Well pretty much everything he has said there is material I've used to justify the split, that came out of my own head.
If you don't believe me read all my previous posts on it, lol.
So yeah I'd say I agree with that.

Id MUCH rather him in the papers then Grace and RAT FACE:blush2::laugh:
