The prods are not manipulating anything
 

To infer manipulation, you must have a desired goal with a reasonable amount of thought and a result in mind. This year they had a plan and a running order which was designed months in advance. The problem herin lies that this year, they have put in so many weirdos and megalomaniacs mixed with professional fame *****s and a big dolop of just plain bitchy people.

That in itself is a recipe for disaster and the prods plans, tasks and running orders are now in the bin and the day to day running of the show has disintegrated into a mad dash for the conference room and loads of pencils and paper and discussions.

They still have no idea where the show is going, so they have adopted a tactic to keep all the big characters in the house and push for controversy and mayhem. It seems to be working because the public are no longer in charge and neither are they, its the HM's that are running this years show.

Viewing figures are not falling because the shows crap, its because it has no direction and nobody wants to watch a soap played out with constant twists and turns that fly in the face of the whole ethos of a reality show. If they want BB to die, they are doing a great job and the only way to stop it is to listen to the public but for some unknown reason, that isnt happening.

Like any other year then.

Erm yeah, but your points are exactly how they are manipulating the show, but I agree that this series is probably the final nail in the coffin for at least the civilian Big Brother series...

I think you need to study the true meaning of the word manipulation and my post says the producers are not manipulating the show, they are simply winging it but I can see where you are coming from but we will see in the fullness of time.
