The Metro BB disrespect fans article

The Metro Newspaper has suddenly gone up in our estimations after this year’s of a shambles that’s called Big Brother, It’s safe to say not even McDonalds would offer producers a job after this years Appalling show.

Not only are viewing figures down this year but the corruption, hate towards certain housemates and Disrespect Producers have for the hard core fans means this years Big Brother is right down slotted under Series 4.

The Metro are quoted saying….

“Has a programme ever shown such scant respect for its fan base than the current run of Big Brother, which we sincerely hope is the last?

We’re picking it as our Must See in the hope that the fans on live eviction duly chant “producers out” in protest at the blatant fixing that has turned the show into a farce and even made presenter Emma Willis look shamefaced.

It should be smarmy Steven to go but don’t rule out last minute shenanigans aimed at keeping him in.”

I think it’s safe to say they got that totally spot on!

Am I the only one who actually quite likes the twists? Even though they've gotten rid of some of my favourites, it keeps it fresh and entertaining. The show has actually gotten a little better since Danielle has left as well, imo. It's just a tv show at the end of the day, and I still find it entertaining with all of these twists etc.

Although I can see where you're all coming from. I did get annoyed at first when Ashleigh was put up, but this year they've made the show much more like a game show. In the respect, it's quite good because it's unlike any other year of bb. I'm not totally defending the producers, I'm just saying that it is a tv show and I'm still enjoying it. (imo)

Twists are one thing- blatant favouritism is another !!!

Is it favouritism though? I wouldn't have thought it was if I was a member of this forum, because everyone seems to think there is

The twists are just given to the housemates and they do what they wish to do with them. They didn't know that Marlon was going to push the button, or who Pauline would choose to give the pass. It's just the way you look at it.

The power alliance didn't go how they wanted clearly so the twist was a final curveball to try and get Steven saved because they realized that was their last bit of drama

But Helen is picking up again so hopefully they'll quit trying to save people even remotely dramatic.

Many have claimed blatant fixing, which is a bit strong as in each occasion there has been more than 1 option for who would be affected by any particular "twist". Certainly, there is way more manipulation than i would like and a degree of unfairness with particular conversations being picked out for house scrutiny - it is an attempt to make a boring bunch of housemates into enough of a drama where the public feel strongly enough to vote and part with their cash. The ultimate way to show displeasure to the producers is to not vote - simple

I think the twist after the alliance was just to cause a final bit of drama and a dramatic twist... it sure did get fans talking.

It's called Power Trip because BB are on a "POWER TRIP". BB is the power housemate.

The favoritism the producers have shown this series has been quite shameful. It goes down as one of the worst ever which is sad because it had and actually still has elements of it that would have otherwise made for an epic series.
For me it would take Ashleigh winning to redeem it in some ways but even then I'd feel like its just a consolation for the blatant eff ups.

They dropped the ball this year, especially after the great runs of CBB9 and the most recent one in addition to BB13 and 14 having been great years. In some ways I guess we were overdue for an epic fail.

BIRDisTHEword 25-07-2014 04:24 PM

Omg a "producers out!" chant would be amazing

CaudleHalbard 25-07-2014 05:08 PM

If there is a twist which keeps Steven in, it will only be because Steven is felt to be good for ratings.

There would be absolutely no other reason for it.

Chuckyegg 25-07-2014 06:31 PM

This forum started it. We were discussing daily star articles in depth way before bb started going downhill. BB may be simply giving its fans the bollox that they are asking for.

sampvt 25-07-2014 06:37 PM

I personally don't mind twists if they are designed to do something interesting or dastardly. These twist are producer designed to help them not the show. They are trying to run the show to their script and sadly that does not fall in line with public opinions so they are silly for not listening.

Babschap 25-07-2014 06:46 PM

Well said Metro, it's got to the point where I have to turn over when BB do a twist that results in someone getting abused by Helen and cronies. Used to be such a good programme but BB have taken the p##ss.
