Do you believe you were born for a reason?
I know it sounds a little bizarre, but some people say that they were born to do something and I find that a little inspiring.
I kinda feel like I have. I'm sure everyone on this site knows how much I love kids. (apart from ones at road crossings... lol jk jk jk) I've loved them since a young age and I've always felt strangely protective over them. I feel like I've got a very good understanding of them and I think that because I'm immature, (in the sense that I like cartoons and colouring etc) that I've been born to work and help children. I've always known that I wanted a career with kids, but recently I've started realising what I really want to do. I want to change things in regards to parenting/childcare. There's so many things I've seen happen to different kids/families over the past 3 years or so and I dread to think what I'll see/hear in the future. It makes me feel sick and I feel like fostering half of the kids I meet.
I know there's not much I can do because of my age and the fact I don't have a full time job/stable relationship etc, but it's really woken me up about what's going on in the world. Seeing as I'm 99.3% gay, I'm sure that I'll end up adopting/fostering when I'm older. I don't know whether I'd have my own biological kids or not, but I don't think that's important as possibly saving/rescuing a child from a dire household.
I think that I was born to change things. Whether that be a career in politics (don't worry, I'd go to uni and everything first) or become something like New Sassy Supernanny, but I feel like I could definitely change things if I really try.
I know there will be a few people here laughing or thinking yeah right, but if you don't try, you'll never know...
So do you feel like you were born to do something? Are you doing it now? If not, why?
