biggest fall in bb history?

He was touted as a certain, landslide winner till week 6/ hook up with Chrismas then it all went downhill. Now he's probably going, of course he could stay but in a double it's unlikely. Has there ever been a bigger long teem fav who blew it weeks before final?
All I can think is the then hottest bb bookies fav to win in history Vern Troyer cbb who went into freefall after he creepily passionately kissed a baby doll.

Josy 06-08-2014 11:30 PM

Wolfy.

Josy 06-08-2014 11:31 PM

Oh wait she wasn't long term but she still turned it round pretty quick

Kazanne 06-08-2014 11:32 PM

I still Like Mark, they are all gonna have traits we don't like,he makes me laugh,I hope he stays

alex_front2 06-08-2014 11:37 PM

Of course Wolfy, non threatening Wolfy. The irony being she got evicted (iirc over Hazel) as she became smug and said she was going to win

Samm 06-08-2014 11:41 PM

Pauline

Joelle. 06-08-2014 11:45 PM

Yeah Wolfy or Pauline. Loved both on launch then I missed about a week and they were suddenly hated and hot favourites to go

Cal. 06-08-2014 11:58 PM

Pauline I would say had the biggest fall, Mark was only in momentum for a few weeks, everything has been downhill in terms of support for him for quite a while.

MB. 07-08-2014 12:06 AM

Launch night/early favourites never last. Remember Carole? Kathreya? Sophia? Maxwell? Granted, the majority of those lasted a fair while longer than Pauline or Wolfy, but I think the moral is that we should never develop feelings of any sort towards a housemate until at least three weeks in :umm2:

Cal. 07-08-2014 12:07 AM

Pauline was only favourite anyway because she was the only diverse housemate on the first launch night. Everybody else on launch night were 20-30 and glamor models.

Benji_ 07-08-2014 12:44 AM

Wolfy and Pauline

Dollface 07-08-2014 12:49 AM

I really hope Mark stays :( i don't understand all the hate he's receiving

Raph 07-08-2014 12:50 AM

Cookie Kat!

Shaun 07-08-2014 12:54 AM

Kat didn't even become 'hated' really did she? She just got the fewest votes to win with Mo, rather than got evicted?

Dollface 07-08-2014 01:16 AM

If i remember correctly, Becky from BB13 was one of those who was really liked when she first went in and then ended up disliked

That is so true! My favourites have never changed so much during one series.

At first I liked Pauline, but then she started bullying Jale.
I liked Jale but when she got close to Helen and turned on Chris I didn't like her as much.
I loved Mark for the first few weeks but then he started turning on Christopher and his constant sitting on the fence hasn't do him any favours.

I haven't really considered any of the others my favourites apart from Ashleigh, Chris, Christopher and Zoe.

Macie Lightfoot 07-08-2014 04:38 AM

Wolfy and Pauline's were pretty predictable as early as launch night tbh. Mark's is definitely the biggest fall in recent history just because he absolutely had the game on lock as the token gay, but then a showmance happened and there is no ****ing way Mark expected that. It's an unwritten rule that Mark's character type doesn't get in a showmance because their whole character is desexualized, and then Mark developed some sort of feelings for Christopher and it tanked everything. That's why I watch this show, fascinating stuff like that (as tedious as their showmance is, it's interesting in regards to social politics and sexuality of gays vs. straights)

Marsh. 07-08-2014 04:45 AM

Makosi? Wasn't she favourite all series long and then her popularity dropped like a stone after the pool incident?

LikeABoatOnWater 07-08-2014 06:26 AM

No one mentioned BB5 Michelle. Favourite all season long and the incident underneath the dinning room table led to here eviction. Clearly the biggest fall.

Mick 07-08-2014 08:00 AM

Mark.....During the first few days I thought "don't like this guy" but he won me over and until recently has been entertaining to watch. One aspect of the show which interests myself is how quickly a HM can lose public support and its often as a result of just one short incident or even sentence.

I think Marks fall from grace started after the power alliance task and the conversation he had with Helen.I also feel that his OTT reactions have become predictable and no longer worth watching. He has played a good game but perhaps over done it and that's why he will probably go on Fri.

Amy Jade 07-08-2014 09:19 AM

Freddie/Halfwit was favourite wasn't he before the fallout from Bea?

Lex 07-08-2014 09:23 AM

What about Halfwit Freddie Fisher?....He was more popular than Elvis at one point!
...He was my favourite too, but I had to miss a week's viewing for a very nice holiday....And when I got back....:umm2: ....No more Halfwit??????????

Was so pissed-off that I just about binned the rest of the series!! :cloud:

TheElusiveChanteuse 07-08-2014 10:47 AM

He wasn't one of the favorites until a couple of weeks in (people seem to forget he was one of the mean girls with Tamara and Helen), and he was never a 'landslide winner' as it was very close between Chris, Mark and Winston for ages. Chris' downfall has been bigger in my opinion, but neither are massive ones imo.

She got pretty big boos and I think if she was up more often she would have gone.

*mazedsalv** 07-08-2014 10:58 AM

Wolfy and Pauline out of recent series. Pauline was favourite and then 4 days later she was 100/1 to win.

People who did the opposite recently was Gina, which was at 160/1 at one point in the first few days.
