Does anyone remember Hectors House, I love that advert that comes on now and then for that banking thing there advertising, they should bring an up to date version of that back on. The last time it was on was in the 70's, I used to remember watching it in the school holidays.:love:
:spin: |
Talking of old children's TV favourites, look who's making a comeback now!
Quote:
Of course, I'm FAR too young to remember this first time round. |
Kaz, I have to admit I was given a Muffin the mule string puppet for my 5th birthday......:blush::shocked: I promptly tied it to my dad's bicycle wheels and he rode off in the morning without noticing it. It tangled round the chain, he fell off and Muffin had to be surgically removed from the spokes with scissors!
I got a glove puppet of Sooty for my 6th birthday, cut all his hair off and made him into Sooty the Bald....... :bawling: Not to mention the brm brm amblance with the real sirens which my dad was forced to remove after about 24 hrs. It's a wonder I turned into such a well balanced woman........... |
Does anyone remeber the White Horses, the girl who used to be in that, was my first crush. Arr... and also does anyone remember Barnaby the Bear and Belle and Sebastian. All great programmes on the bbc in the school holidays.
Here's the link to the theme tune of the White Horsees. Arr... http://www.geocities.com/thewhitehorses :dazzler::dazzler::dance: |
Oh,yes - I remember The White Horses very well, Steve.
I used to love watching it during school summer holidays, when it was on every weekday morning. I SO wanted to be Julia! The theme tune was wonderful - I enjoyed listening to it again. Thanks for the link. On white horses Snowy white horses Let me ride away They don't make 'em like that any more. |
Oooohhh these threads do make one nostalgic for what has gone before.
Will todays children's programmes pass the test of time.:colour::colour::colour::colour: |
