were mark chris ash morally wrong?
have these 3 just sold their souls down the river for a few grand?
what do you think? does this illustrate a deeper issue regarding these 3 housemates personal moral code and does it make them more untrustworthy? or are they simply less trusting of others? would it have been more acceptable if this 3 had not agreed to the 8 way pact in the first place? are mark and ash less in the wrong because they claim they would split it 8 ways, but chris said hed split it 3 ways in the diary room then later denied that and said he would split it 8 ways ? what a mess |
The pact was wrong in the first place. The extra £25k was for the winner of Big Brother 2014. They have the right to do whatever they like with it.

Taking the money isn't morally wrong since it was "offered" to them. But the way Mark handled it was a complete disgrace. You can't bitch about someone taking the money for themself when you took it for yourself as well.

It is an interesting pact. Why bother trying for the money if you are not going to win. Ash's sentiment. Winston was the one to suggest that it get shared. So all this pact and taking part came from the 'cool gang'. (Helen, Ash, Winston, Mark). Who used most of the available money for selfish reasons and showed little to no concern what it cost in visiting his family? (Mark!) Who has been the most self absorbed and demading? (Mark!)
Who has suffered most from this task? (Chris up for eviction) Who has been the most responsible person in the house? (Christopher!) |

What right did Winston have to suggest a pact and what right did Helen and Ash have to jump on it? Just before Ash was saying "can't be arsed, can't be arsed". When he thinks he might get £3k, he sits up and all of a sudden he's "well involved". He's a twat.

big brother certainly know how to stir the **** heading into the final week, they are the champion of champions in game playing
|
I don't think so. If it had been out of the actual prize money, then I would think differently but as it was an extra 25k that didn't previously exist, then it's up for grabs. The pact was pointless and meant nothing and everyone was kind of forced into it so it wasn't exactly a signed contract that they all had to stick by.

very very clever game by big brother....fair play....they invented a new way to expose people and their relationships
personally im black and white about it. you agree to something stick to it.....if you get shafted....so what £3,000 each? whats that compared to your word, your character, your reputation? |

The pact was silly in the first place, i doubt any of them would have actually split it.
I personally would have done the same as Chris, split it 3 ways between my friends. |

I would've taken it.They went in alone they should do what they need to do(imo). That money dilema brought out the worst in every single one of them apart from Ashleigh.
|
..no they're not really morally wrong, they've just showed that money plays a big part in it for them but there's nothing wrong with that..the money is after all a big part of the prize ...there are no morals in it/different things motivate different people..all they showed was that they would be the least trustworthy in the pact but the pact is stupid anyway, I doubt many if any would totally stay true to it and at the very most would give some of the money to their closest friends in there anyway....

Its a game, so no, they were not morally wrong. The fact that it all went to pot when each was put under pressure was always going to happen when a decision was forced on the group without taking the time to think it through.

I do believe Chris would've shared it 3 ways, and i don't blame him for taking the money as he knows he's not going to win, he was right to take it.
Mark would've kept it all for himself and if he says he'd share it then he's a liaaaaaar! Ash would have shared it between the 4 of them, that's why Helen didn't jump on him because she knows she'd get hers. The pact was a load of crap as it wasn't even discussed the 3 "uncool kids" were forced to just join in and did so for the peace of the house. |
