Helen is stupid through and through and you just can't argue with someone if they are stupid. She seems to thrive on battles and confrontation because it's exiting , too stupid to understand you can enrich your life in so many other ways. She only hears what she wants to hear and will not be moved from that,she reacts rather than consider the bigger picture and the repercussions of the moment. All this she repeats in her life over and over again never learning.

You forgot the part where she's a hypocrite along with Winston for how they reacted against Marlon for putting everyone on basic rations, when they do it (for nothing mind you, at least Marlon benefited himself and his friends [or so he thought]) they find it hilarious and feel as though they don't have to apologise. Brilliant!
