Best Launch Night?

What's your favourite Launch Night? The Housemates that go in, The Atmosphere, House Tour, Opening Twist etc

Mine are 6, 7 and 8.

7 tops.

Liam- 11-08-2014 01:39 PM

11 is my personal favourite, completely different from the rest

Samm 11-08-2014 01:40 PM

7, 6 and probably 13

The worst is definitely 10 it had no Atmosphere at all

reece(: 11-08-2014 02:43 PM

5,6,7,8

worst are 4 and 10.

Headie 11-08-2014 05:08 PM

7, then 6, then 5, then 8.

I agree with Sam, the crowd was so dismal in BB10 and it was half empty

I was watching the BB10 launch the other day and you can really tell Davina's losing interest, she kept getting people's names wrong etc (she pronounced Cairon's name about twelve different ways each time, none of them right :umm2:)

I really enjoyed 15's tbh, really good.

Past series? Probably 5 as it was the rejuvenation of BB.

BB10's was definitely the worst, horrible crowd, Davina clearly can't be arsed, the blink and you'll miss it house tour :umm2: (Davina could have at least shown us the rooms, she just walked through the living area and then into the garden and was like 'yes, theres the house tour, lets meet our first one') she could have shown us the house even if it wasn't available to 'housemates'..

14 all the way mann. Although I loved the BB7 launch as well.

BB5, BB6, BB7, and BB8.
All had fantastic launches.

The BB5 launch at the time was amazing. After the last ever Friends. I remember it launched at 10, too. I just loved the electric atmosphere.
You knew it was going to be great, once all the housemates walked in.
The house tour was funny too.

BB6, and BB7 are similar, but they were great.
I think BB7 edges it though, as it looked really fun.

BB8 was a good launch, too. Although the launch twist wasn't great. But the housemates VT's, and house tour were good.
It had a good atmosphere.
Also, the exterior of the house was different, so it felt fresh.

BB9 was okay. The VT's that year were great. But it seemed different. I think that was when the crowd began to get smaller.

BB10 was shut. Flattest launch ever. One dimensional.

BB11 was okay, as it was different.
It felt like an event, and it was exciting at the time, because it was the last one.

BB12's was crap.
Don't remember much of BB13's.

BB14's launch was great. Felt like a Channel 4 launch. As did BB15.
I think BB14 edges it though, as the BB15 launch had a ruthless "Hunger Games" feel to it.

CBB4 and CBB13 launches were amazing.

Best

BB6 / BB7
BB5
BB8
BB14
BB9
BB15
BB11
BB13
BB12
BB10

Worst

Of the ones I've seen, I'd probably rank the launch nights:

BB6
BB9
BB7
BB15
BB13
BB5
BB8
BB10
BB14
BB12
BB11

I see I put 14 here but in hindsight 7,9 and 11 as well. 11 just because it was something different and felt so special cause we all thought it was the end of BB

andybigbro 22-03-2015 09:19 PM

My favourite was BB7. I liked BB6 too

Jay. 22-03-2015 09:20 PM

BB14 in terms of buzz, new presenter and house etc.

But in terms of housemates, BB6.

LukeB 22-03-2015 09:21 PM

BB14,BB7 and BB8

Lostie! 22-03-2015 09:27 PM

The BB14 launch felt really flat to me for some reason. :umm2:

BB13 Launch would have slayed if Emma Willis hosted, he put downers on launches/evictions imo

Shaun 22-03-2015 10:01 PM

favourite launches were 6, 8, 9 and 15 tbh (until the 2nd night with the final pass)

Agree.
It's why I don't re-watch evictions from BB12, BB13, and CBB8-11.

The thing with the BB13 launch was that it was on a Tuesday, which didn't feel right.
Anything earlier than Wednesday, I'm not keen on for launches.
Even Wednesday is cutting it on edge.

Thursday or Friday launches are the way to go.
I didn't mind the Sunday CBB7 launch, though.
