BOB ruined this season. Plz confirm

It gave a reason for the misogynists to target females as "weaker players" so that they would stay HOH and not get blood on their hands until the twist ended. It hasn't ended yet and has resulted in a horrible and sexists boot-list.

It robbed us of the show ending right after the nominations were revealed.

It robbed us of the nomination block (RIP).

Firewire 11-08-2014 10:52 PM

It should have ended last week, why did they need to bring it back? They ended MVP week 6. Nicole has been ****ed over because she won HOH first (Christine only answered one question) yet Nicole is going home this week.

Firewire 11-08-2014 10:52 PM

Also, I miss the end of Sunday's episode nominations section when all the keys are pulled.

Jack_ 11-08-2014 11:00 PM

It's annoyed me more for the last two reasons than the first tbh, I miss the key pulling so much :( the fact we're only going to get like 4/5 regular noms ceremonies sucks so ****ing much

There's no reason why it should still be going, we're at jury it should be over :bored:

I don't mind the actual twist but it's gone on way too long

JerseyWins 11-08-2014 11:03 PM

I like the twist but yeah 100% should've ended on the double eviction episode if not even the week before it.

Macie Lightfoot 11-08-2014 11:35 PM

Oh ****, absolutely. If you want to remain HoH you can't nominate any "strong players" (ie men) because they'll win BotB and come after you, it's next to impossible to make a power move, and all it's allowed is for a group of boring males with similarly abhorrent personalities to be complacent and sit pretty. This season has been complete garbage because of it.

JTM45 12-08-2014 02:11 AM

I don't think it was meant to go on as long as this but i think they kept it going because Frankie was in danger and it's easier to manipulate situations with the BOB still in place.

I was also amazed that they let Frankie and Christine leave the house to go to a football game!!!! Wouldn't be surprised if that was so Frankie could have a meet-up with his people.

So yeah, the BOB has been awful for the Season but i think putting in a houseguest like Frankie who potentially has a load of his sister's fans that will get behind him so even if he does get evicted they'll probably decide who gets to go back in via a public vote.
Also for him, when he realized how much he was in trouble in there, to be allowed to suddenly come up with the lie that he's playing for charity to build schools for poor African kids in an attempt to emotionally blackmail the other houseguests into not evicting him is absolute bullsh*t!!!

Terrible season that's only getting worse!!!:bored:

reece(: 12-08-2014 02:22 AM

It's ruined the season.

AarynGriesfan 12-08-2014 04:38 AM

It was one of the leading causes for sure. Casting Frankie Grande also ruined it.

:joker::joker::clap1::clap1::clap1: I agree so much!

Pete. 12-08-2014 07:44 AM

The whole 2 HoH's was messy

Braden 12-08-2014 08:19 AM

The reason it's still going is to give Frankie more opportunity to stay imo.

Raph 12-08-2014 08:43 AM

Casting Frankie grande is the biggest mistake about this series. I don't mind the twist actually, I've really enjoyed seeing an extra competition per week

100%. Please get rid NOW. (Both BOB and Frankie :) )

I don't agree that it's a terrible season though. Mediocre at worst. If Donny, Nicole, Christine or even Caleb win, I'd be happy. These situations can turn, people...

JerseyWins 12-08-2014 10:31 PM

I wouldn't say it's favoring "stronger" people but it IS kinda favoring alliances because you can have 2 as HOH and put one of each of the alliances' top two targets on the block on opposite sides. Making it very easy for one of the targets to go home. On top of that, after getting that easier way to take out a top threat, you still get one of those two group members back in the next HOH competition again.

They weren't screwed from the start from this twist, they were screwed from the start by being put against a relatively loyal alliance of 8 from the start. And that's just good gameplay on any season (being so many people was a bit ridiculous but the smarter ones formed a 5-person alliance in The Detonators after that so yeah).

JerseyWins 12-08-2014 10:32 PM

But anyway from an entertainment standpoint, an extra competition each week has been fun and so has the different strategies going into nominations. Definitely does need to end ASAP now tho.

Anaesthesia 12-08-2014 10:34 PM

Know what, JerseyWins? Your prior post was very good, and it actually made me think that the only reason I hate this is because I seriously dislike most of the players that are IN that alliance. Had it been a bit more balanced I think I would have been fine with it ;)

JerseyWins 12-08-2014 10:44 PM

 And I know what you mean, I felt that way last season not liking Amanda's group of her, Andy & McCrae (and whoever else they included at a bunch of different points). They did have similar strengths, though and did a lot of things right. Just completely played the Moving Company at the start. And what happened to the Moving Company could've easily happened again this year (especially cause of Devin) but they were smart enough to stick together and stay loyal. An alliance is an unfair advantage on any season but you still gotta keep the loyalty and play it smart regardless.

Anaesthesia 12-08-2014 11:04 PM

I think part of it for me is that it reminds me so strongly of s12 which I absolutely hated (apart from Brit) because of the Brigade. But I think I am going OT :)

So yeah. BOB sucks.

Ya, you're right. See, my emotions befuddle my sense of good gameplay, and that is why I love BBUS.

JerseyWins 12-08-2014 11:31 PM

Season 12 wasn't the best to watch cause of it (wasn't that bad either :idc: ) but the Brigade was the beeeest. :joker:

Enzo :worship:

Anaesthesia 12-08-2014 11:33 PM

Haha....pffft :P

He was entertaining, I'll give you that ;)

It's absolutely favoring stronger people. The nominees have cycled through the same pairs of Brittany/Paola/Donny/Victoria/Jocasta because they've all been perceived as "weak" at one point or another. People have explicitly said they want to nominate two strong people but can't because then they'll win BotB and dethrone them as HoH. Everyone realized that if you want to remain HoH, the best bet is to nominate two weak people and then try to go for a backdoor. Just look at Nicole's full HoH week. Jocasta wouldn't have been close to being nominated, but she ended up being evicted because of it.

JerseyWins 13-08-2014 04:21 AM

That's still the case for every season (not putting up two strong players) because at least one will remain and go after you, and it puts both in the veto comp. Sure the BOTB might have made it a little more intimidating but come on. It's pretty much rare to see otherwise unless literally everyone hates the person (and then it's still usually a back door plan anyway).

The other side of the house just didn't have the right people to stand up to the Bomb Squad / Detonators regardless of the twist. The alliance was the big factor in it being an unfair disadvantage for the others.

armand.kay 13-08-2014 12:47 PM

Could of been good if the house was spilt or something but yeah I hate bob
