Go to a youtube video and type "gif" before the word "youtube" in the url, press enter, drag the video slider to the start point you want and select how many seconds long you want it to be. That's it, your gif is done.

thanks so much for this. weird how this thread came at the perfect time bc I was trying all sorts of things to make a gif. :D
