Split while their popularity is high, then have a reunion in a few years time, it's a tried and tested formula

Pete. 18-08-2014 10:26 AM

Thank ****. Now they can stop torturing ears of innocent citizens with their garbage.

Ramsay 18-08-2014 10:38 AM

T* 18-08-2014 10:40 AM

Cal. 18-08-2014 10:59 AM

I'm glad tbh

Overrrrattteeeeddddddd

CaudleHalbard 18-08-2014 11:00 AM

Oh no - I'll have to call The Samaritans if they split! :D

If any of them go solo they will flop. However they are all rich enough never have to work again for the rest of their lives.

LukeB 18-08-2014 12:06 PM

they wont split, they be fools

Brother Leon 18-08-2014 12:09 PM

Shame. They had the pop song game on smash. Liked most of their stuff once you get over the stigma of liking them.

Some members want it
some are going solo

CD's are worked out years ahead

The members that stop performing
will have millions to live off.

all Logical

I really like 1D,would be a shame if they split but sure they will go on to other stuff and do well,What a great dream these guys have lived.

Its good of King Simon to warn everyone

They honestly do look tired of it and I felt this when I saw their tour, there was no passion there

Agreed.

Jarrod 18-08-2014 01:40 PM

They're exhausted. They toured all last year, had barely any time off as they promoted their third album, released two singles and filmed the videos and were straight back on tour around the world again for this tour. Then as soon as this tour is finished they're promoting their fourth album and are back on tour at the start of 2015.

I can't say I'm surprised they're ending, because I've expected it for a while. I'm surprised they're staying that long.

It's always foolish for boy bands to throw it away at their height in the long run because their fans have no loyalty. The band ends, the fans get a little bit older and suddenly it's uncool to have ever liked the band and that means they can only "reform" once those teenage girls are grown women and maybe a fraction of them would pay to see them perform live. I always think boy bands should just milk it until they've outstayed their welcome and THEN do the reunion thing. Perfect example: Westlife. It's stupid to throw it all away and make a desperate bid for a solo career. None of One Direction have the charisma or performance skills to be viable solo artists. I'm sure a couple of them will have a couple of hit singles, but there is no Beyoncé or Justin Timberlake in this band. I wonder, when they split, if it'll come out that some of them hate each other?

armand.kay 18-08-2014 02:08 PM

Here for zayn's raunchy solo career http://uploadir.com/u/rqveh1ci

Harry will probably do something indi

Marsh. 18-08-2014 02:10 PM

I was thinking wow they've not been together long but then the Spice Girls weren't around as long as I thought originally.

Strike while the iron's hot and cash in on nostalgia a few years later.

Z 18-08-2014 02:26 PM

Girl bands can get away with splitting up and reuniting to great success because gay men are far more loyal to brands than teenage girls, it's been proven time and time again.

Absolutely, it's a shame

That's why I think it's stupid that boy bands throw it all away before they have to; a solo career might seem enticing but very few group members are suited to being a solo star. You fill the stage when you're part of a group by virtue of safety in numbers; you need to be very charismatic to pull off doing it on your own and you have so much more to prove than other people because everyone's expecting you to fail so the bar is set higher. Blue were foolish to throw it away when they did; they could have kept on going. Now, they're trying to carry on and all their original fans have moved on and radios won't touch them. Just so stupid.

Marsh. 18-08-2014 02:44 PM

Yeah, I can't see any of them becoming Robbie Williams or Gary Barlow.

Harry Styles will just become tabloid trash more than he already is.

Only worked with Take That really but they had no gay members... Same thing will happen with One Direction, their solo careers won't work and when they eventually get back together, there'll be no one waiting for them
