Alison Hammond confirms place in Strictly Come Dancing line-up

TV Presenter Alison Hammond is confirmed as the third of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing 2014 contestants.
Alison announced the news on ITV’s This Morning earlier today.
Alison made her name as a contestant on the third series of ‘Big Brother’ back in 2002. Before that she was a child actress, holiday rep and cinema usherette.
Alison is now best known as This Morning’s showbiz reporter and has interviewed the world’s biggest stars including Hugh Jackman, Will Smith, George Clooney and Daniel Craig.
Alison says: “I am absolutely overjoyed to be joining the Strictly team. I am ready to immerse myself in glitter and hard work, with a dash of fun along the way!”
Birmingham born Alison has also appeared on a number of other high profile television shows during her career including All Star Family Fortunes, Celebrity Coach Trip and the 2010 series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
Alison joins Tennis star Judy Murray and The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge on this year’s CONFIRMED line up, with Frankie having announced her role in the show on BBC Breakfast last week.
Names rumoured to be joining them include Xtra Factor’s Caroline Flack, TOWIE’s Mark Wright, singer Pixie Lott and hard man Ross Kemp.
