Trying to be a 'lad'

I have went off him since the launch, thought he was just going to be a down to earth decent guy but he has attached himself to James and David's arses and is trying too hard to come across as a 'lad'

Pete. 23-08-2014 02:38 PM

Perhaps

Pete. 23-08-2014 02:38 PM

Lads never win so it's a bad move

Nell_McCoy 23-08-2014 02:46 PM

I liked him OK until I saw the bit where Lauren explains in front of him and Claire that although she like Ricci she does does not fancy him and would not want to hurt his feelings. Almost instantly Ricci appeared and George started taking the piss saying Lauren just said she really fancies you etc Lauren didn't know how to react without either hurting him or giving him te wrong impression. I don't particularly like Lauren or Ricci but it was a nasty, mean, spiteful thing to do and totally changed my opinion of him (like the Zoe Tesco moment) He has absolutely no regard for other people's feelings, I'd happily evict him now.

I don't see him as laddish, there's a word that perfectly sums him up but I can't remember it, will edit this post if I think of it.

It's a thread because it's my opinion of George..

Why are you commenting if you have nothing to add?

because its silly
george is a man, he could be a lad with his friends.
we only watch him with his mum and dad.

Patricia4 23-08-2014 03:06 PM

I don't watch him I didn't know who he was till he went in the house.
They way he hangs round with the big boys I would say he's a lad trying to be a man so man up George.

I've never watched Gogglebox. I'm basing my opinions on him from what I have seen and I find him really annoying.

Sophiee 23-08-2014 03:10 PM

I don't see him as 'laddish' at all, just because james and david might come across that way it doesn't mean he's trying to be like him, maybe he just gets on with them well and enjoys being in their presence?

Vanessa 23-08-2014 03:14 PM

The pratt trio : David, James and George. :joker:

Braden 23-08-2014 03:16 PM

He's started to annoy me just a little bit.

I hated how he kept chirping in Audley and James' argument, and all you could hear was his screeching.

I have no idea what point you are trying to make, I know he's a man my comment about him trying to be a 'lad' is nothing to do with that....

And I have never watched him or his mum and dad before, my opinion of him is from his behaviour in the house.

The laddish behaviour I'm referring to is trying to wind up other housemates ie Audley and Lauren/Ricci saying sorry when Audley asked him to stop then continuing anyway as if it's 'lad banter', Pillow fighting in the bedroom when others were trying to sleep, just wanting to party and so on.

I sincerely hope he isn't what passes for a 'man' nowadays, overgrown kid more like.

reece(: 23-08-2014 03:52 PM

He's pathetic.

Marsh. 23-08-2014 03:53 PM

I didn't care for seeing his arse in the kitchen. I bet James loved that. :idc:

This. From his VT (& from what I have seen on Gogglebox) he IS a lad. So he isn't pretending to be anything, he is simply being himself...

Cal. 23-08-2014 06:41 PM

He's nice enough but he won't win.

Probably 3rd place like Christopher. He'll get higher than any of the other 'lads', that's for sure.
