Are the warnings ruining the show?

So during Leslies interview he mentioned he had been warned a couple of times and he decided to calm it down a bit..

Anyway..do you think the producers being so fast to give out warnings is having a negative impact on the show.

Adding the poll...

Most seem to be off-screen and warnings keep on occurring so the HMs arnt changing their behaviour too much because of them just adapting so no not really.

armand.kay 29-08-2014 10:12 PM

Yes like bb is being ridiculous now

jessicadanielle 29-08-2014 10:12 PM

Definitely, mainly because the warnings seem so unfair a lot of the time, e.g. Audley nomming Kellie for feeling uncomfortable got a warning, but not when many people nommed Gary for having to repeat themselves. It just sets the whole thing off balance.

Less warnings and more punishments would be better for the show

Jules2 29-08-2014 10:16 PM

I would like to think, for her own benefit, BB warned Stephanie about her anger at Gary in the face to face nominations. Audley was the only one with a bit of sense there.

Marsh. 29-08-2014 10:17 PM

Definitely. He's just mentioned them again. It's so artificial now. The BB1 housemates wouldn't make it a week nowadays. Big changes behind the scenes are needed.

But then I suppose it's TV in general, sanitised to death.

Absolutely, its getting to the point where trendy PC is stopping realistic human interaction. I'm close to switching it off now

smileymummy 29-08-2014 10:21 PM

Why are they doing it? because they get idiots that always complain to offcom about every single litttle thing.

Macie Lightfoot 29-08-2014 10:22 PM

Definitely not. especially by this point in the show, everyone is well aware of what gets you warned and they're more superficial anyway. They've never kicked a celebrity out and they probably don't want to. We're in a day and age where social trends have swayed a lot more towards political correctness and the warnings mostly reflect that, really.

Also things can escalate very quickly and it can go from "lol let's watch people fight x" to epilator rape threats and casual n-word usage and even BBUS15. That's the last thing we need.

ruiphillips 29-08-2014 10:24 PM

No. Look at BB15 Helen had multiple warnings but that never affected her horrible behavior.

Mystic Mock 29-08-2014 10:29 PM

When they're getting warnings for having arguments or saying anything even slightly controversial then yes I think it does have a negative impact on the show as the Housemate gets scared to do anything then, it's the same for when Housemates get chanted out by the public as it shouldn't be allowed to get through to the house.

Patricia4 29-08-2014 10:32 PM

I voted yes

If you watch back to how she was in week 4, and then watch how she was like by the end you will see how much Helen had changed because of the warnings that she had received throughout the series.

armand.kay 29-08-2014 10:33 PM

tbh i think they should take the bbus approach and let bigots dig a massive hole for themselves and come out the house with no career.

Chuckyegg 29-08-2014 10:33 PM

No they are producing content
