After the Hollywood star interrupted him, James turned on Gary, 70, saying: “I am getting upset because you’re being an idiot again.

“You’re very, very rude sometimes. I feel like I have to tell you off like a child sometimes. It’s pathetic.”

Gary apologised and said: “I heard my name and I wanted to know what I had to do to make it right. That’s all.”

But furious James, 36, hit back: “I feel like a babysitter sometimes in this ******ing house. Don’t do it. Because I find it ******ing rude. You’re not a child, you’re 70 years old.

James, who has become a hate figure among viewers, also took on house enemy Audley Harrison, 42, yesterday.

The rivals, who have clashed on several occasions, were pitted against each other in an endurance test.

They tried to outstay each other under a giant dome in the garden – with immunity from eviction at stake.



A show source said: “The punishment for losing was to be automatically nominated for the next eviction, meaning there was everything to play for.”

Housemates will nominate today ahead of the third eviction on Wednesday.
