Is it fair that under 16s can't be swapped in the 6 Chair Challenge?

?

I don't think that it's fair for them to even be in the competition personally.

Marsh. 27-09-2014 11:12 AM

Why can't they be swapped?

T* 27-09-2014 11:12 AM

no

T* 27-09-2014 11:12 AM

they signed up for the show, they do the show.

Drew. 27-09-2014 11:13 AM

No its ridiculous, how do they expect them to cope being sent home at judges houses then?

This exactly. If they are "too emotionally fragile", then they shouldn't even be on the show.

Marsh. 27-09-2014 11:27 AM

Doesn't make any sense. There can only be one winner so they will be eliminated at some point.

Personally these acts can kill TXFAUS in the live shows because they can sing however the hell they like, and still be put through by the public because they're only 15.

warrenhill 27-09-2014 05:08 PM

If your old enough to be in it then everyone should have equal opportunity.

LukeB 27-09-2014 05:13 PM

should just be 16 and over!

BigSister 27-09-2014 05:52 PM

Yeah I didn't understand that either because I don't mind them being in but they should be able to be swapped as well.

BBfanUSA 27-09-2014 06:10 PM

X Factor USA didn't have this last year when thry did it (12 and up)

If they're old enough to be in the competition, they should be old enough to get swapped out for better singers.

Strictly Jake 29-09-2014 08:12 AM

It isn't fair, and the young ones who are in it, emily and the brooks I feel could handle being swapped, emily is my favourite though so at least it prevented cheryl from making another stupid choice

user104658 29-09-2014 08:40 AM

Shouldn't have under 18's at all in my opinion, very few are emotionally mature enough to handle the pressure of the show and the aftermath, even if they win. Also, a singer who is good at 15/16 is only going to be much better if they spend a few extra years honing their skills before attempting to get somewhere with them. The X Factor is constantly doing this. Getting these kids too young and wrecking them before they had a chance to develop their own identity, at which point they would probably have done much more.

Kizzy 29-09-2014 09:19 AM

I meant to but no.... :/

joeysteele 29-09-2014 11:42 AM

No, in my opinion it isn't fair, in all competitions an equal playing field has to be the norm.

They will get far worse if they go through to the live finals than the loss of a chair.

However, for me, the whole chair selection thing is a total farce and completely daft.

Redway 29-09-2014 11:42 AM

Should be exclusively 16+ for everything.

Niamh. 29-09-2014 11:48 AM

If all contestants can't follow the same rules they shouldn't be in the same competition. Personally I don't think under 16s should be allowed anyway

agreed, it was an absolute mess. they only decided to bring it back because it creates the most drama.
and no it's not fair, all contestants should get equal treatment. if they decided to apply, then they know what they're signing up for and should be able to handle the consequences.
