Breaking Bad Dolls Spark Online Petition

I just bought this fella on amazon UK costing in total £15:19

[A mum campaigns to get the action
figures pulled from Toys R Us,
saying they are "unsuitable to be sold alongside Barbie dolls".]

I say Sexy Barbie
may like a Hard Man next to her

I don't personally understand why Toys R' Us would stock Breaking Bad items, not many kids would be interested in it and it's target audience would be more likely to pick it up from Collector shops and such.

Starting a petition is pretty pointless though. The item will likely be discontinued in their stores if it doesn't sell a certain amount anyway.

In America that Hard Man Doll is for Lads

The Barbie is for the girls

I am glad she did this Petition
as it made me Buy this Doll

it made me want one - because of her

I wouldn't say it's any more harmful to the development of young minds than Action Man's army of weapons, or Barbie's ridiculous ideas of beauty.

any child who knows who Walter White is enough to want a doll of him has the parents to blame for letting them watch the show

Those Parents do not care , though

That Doll was just Live on FoxNewsHD

Jamesy 21-10-2014 12:57 PM

I'm surprised that it would be sold at Toys R Us. Seems like a really young age group to target the product at. I would be surprised if any kids under 11 have ever watched or seen Breaking Bad, even boys. The actual figurine though is no worse than Action Man holding a gun.

Petition is pointless. Petitions seem to be the answer for anything these days, they never lead to anything unless there's an overwhelming amount of signatures, which in this case it is very unlikely to get many.

I had a Robocop toy (with riot van) as a kid, lol. I don't see the issue.

I loved action figures like that when I was wee and I would sit and fight them for ages before either cutting them up with a knife, burying them or setting them on fire.

Never did me any harm.

All information above is true save the last line

Crimson Dynamo 21-10-2014 01:15 PM

Arista did you buy one?

why?
