Of course he can
but not on Newsnight
for feck sake

Livia 24-10-2014 04:31 PM

He has an open mind. Don't see the problem in that. Sounds ridiculous inviting Russell Brand on a show and then being surprised he doesn't say what they wanted to hear.

So what's the point having him on if he's not going to give his opinions on things? :conf:

MTVN 24-10-2014 04:33 PM

People may not trust politicians and be disillusioned with the whole process but he's dumb to suggest that the logical conclusion of that disillusion is to buy into outrageous conspiracy theories

Exactly, it's like petting a wolf and being shocked when it bites you.

:worship: I agree

Jamesy 24-10-2014 04:35 PM

I'm surprised there's a backlash against this on a UK show. But then people love to complain about things. If he said that on a show in America all hell would break loose.

Trivial thing though. He has an open mind. Just like billions of others around the whole world. Or are celebs not allowed to share opinions and have to agree with the bandwagons...

Evan could have stopped that Topic
and told him not to tell the young " Not To Vote"

To be fair, he's never said that.

I am a 9/11 conspiracy theorist too but I think Russell should run for office if he want to take such an active interest in politics. He's starting to get invited onto American Cable shows for political interviews. Its stupid. Stick to comedy or run for Office.

Crimson Dynamo 24-10-2014 04:41 PM

Its such a stupid theory anyroad. Does he seriously think americans could keep that secret for 13 odd years, or any humans come to that?

come off it brand, get real and join the rest of us on earth

A lot of strange things happened that day which the US government has made no attempt to explain. Instead giving us an official stance that cant be true.

He's been on the Young Turks network at least a couple of times spouting his views on the American media. Nothing wrong with having an opinion and expressing it but some cable political channels actually take him seriously and he doesnt seem to mind. IMO if he wants to be so active in politics then he should do something to back up his opinions

Ramsay 24-10-2014 04:50 PM

Thats not what I meant but I'm sure you're well aware of that. I'm talking about things like the stock options that have never been claimed, the amazing 270 corkscrew turn that the inexperienced pilot who piloted the plane that plowed into the pentagon even though he was a barely able pilot, the lack of debris around the pentagon etc. Its all well documented if you want to take a look.

Russell Brand is incredibly smart, love his videos of the 'trews' and he's nearly always right tbh.
