Ben and Simon not agreeing on the song choice
 

i noticed this and it worries me. i hope it doesn't ruin his chances to get to the final. what do you all think?

I thought it was petty of Simon to criticize him, Ben did a good job and sounded fine on a night when most were below par. But I don't really think Ben stands a chance at making the final, I feel that if he gets 5th, he'll have done well.

Simon just doesn't get him at all. He wants to sing some rock songs and he keeps giving him ballads. :bored:

I felt it was all a bit petty.

But then I don't think Ben came across that well in his VT either and that worried me.

he prefers boring dullard jay, when ben is so much better.

i doubt it will ruin his chances
he's popular but he's not the best in the competition
i can see why he picked Aerosmith though because his voice is rock style
i still think he's ok though :)

its annoying me how it seems they favouring Jay over Ben its worrying me because Ben could get to the final and win but now I think he will be out in a couple of weeks

All the finalists are moaning week in week out about their songs...

Is it because they are right or is it because a bit of fame has gone to their heads ?

Its obvious that the final three will be the ones that Cowell wants regardless of who has sung what week in week out.

Im so glad someone else has said jay is boring. I like ben.

Ben does not have the x factor

he is just a singer, there is no market for him

its over and he will be out soon

I don't know why people still go on about how Simon is ridiculous, he's sent his own act home in the bottom 2 when their opponent wasn't in his category just to be controversial. Should be used to it by now.

I found it weird how Simon spoke like he had never heard Ben sing it before. Simon just seemed bitter because someone didn't obey his instructions.

I thought it was one of the best performances out of a very mediocre night.

Mel and Simon seem happy to disclose any issues they're having with their own acts

Worried for Ben tbh you don't go against What Simon wants if you want to progress.... James A, Shayne Ward, Steve Brookstein etc etc
