The Christmas Radio Times and having a Cuban on the day reading the Xmas Private Eye special

The smells, the movies, cosying up in the house watching tv with the Christmas lights on (especially if it's snowing outside), seeing family that we don't get a chance to see that often through the year, time off work, and in general most people seem a little bit happier at that time of year.

The Christmas decorations. Christmas TV. Christmas dinner.

Every year I always have a Christmas movie marathon too.

Best part is going out and buying the tree, takes a good hour or two to find the best one & the farm have some reindeers. Pretty much everything about Christmas is great though, the food, music, movies, decorations, smells.

Natalie. 26-10-2014 06:01 PM

It's nice seeing people be happier

rubymoo 26-10-2014 06:02 PM

I only ever buy a TV magazine at Christmas, Christmas eve is the best for me because of my kids excitement, it makes me remember how long Christmas eve felt as a kid:laugh:

The feeling on Christmas Eve that what isn't bought stays unbought!

Watching my kids faces as they open their presents, priceless! (After this Christmas for me is over!)

Opening presents that my kids have bought as this is the only surprise I get, love it.

Just the general festive feel really; decorations in all the houses and towns, the films and tv you get, the way most people always at least try to be cheerful about it all, how everyone crowds in the local pub on Christmas eve and Christmas day before lunch

LemonJam 27-10-2014 12:38 AM

the natural way it bonds people, the food, the wine, the excitement, the warm nights with the people you love.
